Almost certainly there are others
Please say it ain't so?
Could it be that Bill Barilko's RC could be 1991-92 Pro Set?
What do you think it should or could or can't be?
Seeing how the rules and criteria have changed so much through the years should we leave it as is,
it's a non-topic and good to carry on or do we just grab a food issue and call it an RC or XRC or ?RC ?

I am only going to guess, so it may not be the right answer. The 91/92 Pro-Set card was part of the Hockey Hall of Fame subset, whereas the 03/04 Parkie was an actual base card in a licensed release. He also has a Beehive from the 1940's but I don't believe those count as you had to send away a label from the product and could request any specific card you wanted.

It is foolish for us to apply the rules of today and try to enforce them throughout the past.

Because it's not a player's card.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

No post-career (inactive) cards get an RC or XRC note.

Question on this.
Is this tcdb rule or some other rule I can read on?
I agree no RC should be after his playing career

Yes because it's an In Action subset card, even though it's the only IA card in that set. O-pee-chee did these quite often in their regular hockey sets, and as an insert set in recent years. To be a RC it has to be a player card in a major release, not like a Post Cereal or Cracker Jack or Hostess Twinkies no matter how good the product tastes.

But if no cards exist that's silly that we would say no RC for you even if it is a hostess.. that should be rule of thumb but some sense needs to be applied in rare cases
