I recently purchased the AAGPBL set and was looking at stats/data about the players and updating some of the information on the site here as I went.
Eleanor Callow has passed away, but wasn't sure how to update the date in the site. The card in the AAGPBL set notes she passed away, baseball reference.com notes she passed but date is unknown. The AAGPBL player reference site also notes she passed away in 1992, but also notes the exact date is unknown.
Is there way to just enter 1992 in that field or is there a way this should be entered or can it be entered as currently configured?
Thanks.

Entering partial dates is one of the things on Admin's to do list, but it's a lower priority.
As of right now, there is no way to note that she has passed without entering an exact date.

Gotcha - I ran into some others with the same situation as well.
Now that you say that I do remember seeing that on the To Do List on the Admin posts.
Thank you.

According to Wikipedia she’s still alive and is 90. I doubt that’s true because people can change what appears on pages on Wikipedia. But you really never know.

I highly doubt that Wikipedia is correct since the "The AAGPBL player reference site also notes she passed away in 1992, but also notes the exact date is unknown." That was in the OP. I double checked and he's correct that the site lists her as deceased in 1992. http://www.aagpbl.org/index.cfm/profiles/callow-eleanor/225
I also ran into this issue with someone else recently where the year was known, but not the date. I can't remember who it was now. Since I couldn't add the DOD on here, it's slipped my mind since then.

That's why I said it's not true.

I only quoted you because of your last sentance. You left it open with the "you never know" part.

Yeah, for now the only way to add that information would be to figure out when she actually died. I know of several ways to do so, but don't have the access to make it happen. You would pretty much have to find WHERE she died first, then check that area for records of her death in 1992.

Might be able to use “ FIND A GRAVE” you can narrow your search down by state as well. I am on my phone and that would be hard for me to do so I can only give you the tool so you might be able to locate it yourself

I do quite a few DOB's and DOD's, especially in non-sport, and find this site helpful in many cases:
http://sortedbyname.com/index.html
though unfortunately not in this instance.
