A journeyman outfielder from 1952 thru 1965. As a kid, you pick up these names and they stick with you all through your life. He played with the Pirates, Yanks and Cards. Also served time with the Phils and the Cubs. I'm glad he was part of my childhood.

It's amazing how a career .229 hitter can become such a part of your youth, and then adult memories. Sometimes, even more-so than the "stars."
