Auerbach is pictured on the 75 Topps Celtics team card, that should be in the database, no?

Basically, players (and coaches) can be linked to a team photo card *IF* that player can be positively identified. The general guideline (although not without disagreement) is that team photos shouldn't be linked to individuals unless everyone in the photo can be positively identified (and jersey number doesn't do that).

Thanks for the explanation. The thing that confuses me is that the two 1984 Star Celtics Champions cards are listed, but neither positively identifies Red in the picture, and one of them, #1, doesn't even mention his name at all on the back. So if that card qualifies for the database, it seems logical that the 1975 Topps team card would, since Red is clearly in that photo as well. Does this guideline only apply specifically to team lineup cards?

Since those are up-close shots, it's easy to identify him in the picture, and since it's a Celtics card, he can be linked. As mentioned here and the other topic, team photos with a distant shot and no "Left to Right: " or "Front Row", "Back Row", etc.listing aren't easy to identify, especially the older cards where photos were reused in multiple years even if the players weren't on the team anymore. That's why we try to avoid linking on those.
Also keep in mind that despite having rules in place for years, this is a crowd-sourced site, so cards may have links one week, no links the following week, and links again another week later.

The card itself may not include a L-to-R, row-by-row list, but if they're official team photos, and most of them are, then it is usually extremely easy to find an official list elsewhere to identify everyone in the photo. Here, gimme a sec and I'll find you such a list for this 1975 Topps card, as an example.
As for the reused team photos, if the players are identified from an official list, it shouldn't matter if Player X wasn't on the team or even in the league anymore, that player is still intentionally pictured on that card, and any rational completist should want to see it in a completist database, even if he or she is personally not interested in collecting it.

If you want to put in the research, find the photo, find the card with the same photo and link everyone, feel free. It's a crowd-sourced site.

Here is the text from this poster...
FRONT, LEFT TO RIGHT: Jo Jo White (10); Captain John Havlicek (17); President and General Manager Arnold "Red" Auerbach; Board Chairman Robert J. Schmertz; Coach Tom Heinsohn; Paul Silas (35); Don Chaney (12); Dave Cowens (18).
REAR: Samuel D. Kane, D.D.S, team dentist; Mark Volk, assistant trainer; Kevin Stacom (27); Glenn McDonald (30); Paul Westphal (44); Jim Ard (34); Hank Finkel (29); Don Nelson (19); Ben Clyde (33); Phil Hankinson (20); Frank Challant, trainer; Thomas F. Silva, Jr., M.D., team physician.
If the text is considered too blurry for others to identify, I can try to find a clearer copy, but the names are legible enough to me, perhaps because I'm a Celtics fan already familiar with the players. I did have to look up the staff to verify that their names are spelled correctly.
So, is that sufficient? Has the all-or-nothing every-or-none guideline been satisfied enough for someone to add all the links?
Here is the card:
