I saw that Fred McGriff was on the Beckett Marketplace Hot list. Why would he show up now?

I think he's up for HOF voting this year (but don't quote me on that)? Plus he is the Crime Dawg and looked a lot like Eddie Murphy when he played with the Blue Jays ... so he's got that too I guess.
<edit> It might have been Willie Upshaw that looked like Eddie Murphy, or maybe they both did . <edit>

He was just inducted into the hall of fame. This past Sunday.

Him and Scott Rolen both...but not sure about Rolen being hall worthy Fred McGriff 100%

I think Rolen was deserving as well. Fantastic all-around player in my opinion.

Watch this in case you forget Rolen on defense...add in a great hitter and I think he's worthy. Not everyone in the hall is Ted Williams or Greg Maddux.
Also, watch Rolen's HOF speech from last Sunday and you will see he is a hall of fame human. Pujols said he would be telling his kids that he "played with Scott Rolen" some day. And McGriff's speech was even better!
