That's not Dustin Pedroia. It's apparently Cla Meredith. There must have been several now-defunct articles/blogs written 18 years ago and ever since about how hilarious it is to think of homely little Dustin Pedroia knowingly signing hundreds of cards that picture someone more attractive, right? It's been noticed by the hobby at large already, right? Or is it only some random guy on eBay who's noticed it, because most people are face-blind? Do people notice such things less today, now that there are umpteen different card brands and sub-brands every year?

Pedroia signed sheets of stickers, he likely never saw the cards.

Ahhhhhhh, of course!
(Can you tell I'm new to modern cards, lol?)
I was never much of a fan of autographs, not even when they were the result of serendipitous personal requests, and even less so when they were the result of interactions at long lines during card shows and car dealerships, and I'd have liked them even less if I knew they were done by players sitting alone banging out one card every 2.5 seconds, and I cannot even conceive valuing autographs that the player drew like a machine on a sheet of stickers without even touching the cards. What are we doing to players? Are they risking carpal tunnel? Do they resent fans for wanting so many autos now? They can't possibly enjoy doing these thousands of signatures like robots, no matter how much they're compensated, it must always be a miserable chore now...so, is that really the kind of mental image that imbues an auto card with extra sentimental value? I don't get it. Makes you wonder if they don't all secretly hire clubhouse forgers, like the guy I just read about who signed the buckets of balls for Ted Williams. I hope they do! In my opinion, if you're forcing a player to spend hours doing this joyless, solitary, unnatural, repetitive task that steals time from their limited free time and/or robs them of time better spent on improving their skills, then you're not fans.
Anyway...someone should prepare an UER note, right?

When we requested players to do autographs for the cards for Star Co., they were compensated for their time (it was in the contracts). They were on-card, not stickers.

It's good that they're compensated, I wouldn't expect them to do that chore for free. I'm not saying they're literally forced at gunpoint, I'm saying they're essentially forced by popular demand. If they refuse to do autographs altogether, they're maligned as ingrates. But if fans didn't ask for autographs, then the players would never do them. And if collectors didn't crave autographs as the new standard for premium cards, if collectors decided that no signature is worth making players subject themselves to hours of neglecting their craft and sitting alone risking carpal tunnel, then the players would never do it. But fans/collectors are deciding otherwise, they're saying that making the players miserable and risking the players' hand/wrist health and keeping the players from practicing/resting is worth it. However much they're compensated to make the chore "worth it" for the players is basically just an alibi for the fans, a way to say that it's ultimately the players' choice, not their own.
Are there any modern players who will gladly do random personal autographs but who refuse to do the assembly line mass autographs? Or are they all complying?

"Anyway...someone should prepare an UER note, right?"
I should've remembered from the team card thing, "someone should" means I should be that someone. So let's see if I have my ducks in a row...
Based on the Aurelio Rodriguez error, it looks like this Pedroia card should have a "UER" in Note1 and then in Note2 it should say "UER: Photo actually Cla Meredith"?
If that's the case, would I then update each of those 13 separate Donruss Elite Extra Editions the exact same way?
And each would have the "Wrong Person" tag added?
Would name-linking Cla Meredith also be warranted, or nah?

Your description on updating Note and Note2 is spot on, for all versions of this card.
Tagging is a personal preference.
It is contrary to the site's rules to link anyone other than Pedroia to this card.

Done. Thanks for another lesson, Dan!
p.s. My apologies for criticizing mass-autographed cards so intensely. As you can tell, I sometimes get quite opinionated in a hurry. I also see how there are upsides to the practice, namely the assurance of authenticity versus having to get every single random in-person auto authenticated. I personally just can't fathom being a fan who wants a favorite player to go through that.
