I've got 3 different Elway's in my PC (a red, an orange, and a navy blue). Anytime I look on ebay or other sites, the most common color I seem to find (even for other players) is some sort of red one. I would agree with C2Cigars and Bobzcards that maybe that be considered the "base" and the other colors as parallels.

Parallels not variations.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Just to make sure before I write ADMIN.
RED will be the base set.
Any other color that is found will be a parallel set. Wow, could be alot of them if you believe the link.

No, Bob I don't believe everything in that link. Many of those colors are nothing more than inking variances. All my cards came from the same dairy, Roberts. You can see by the wide range of "red" hues what I'm talking about.

Hi Chuck, Dan is deferring to you regarding adding a yellow lettering parallel. I know we already discussed this, but like everything I do, I must do it multiple times. Do you have the permission to add a YELLOW lettering parallel? Then it's off my to do list. lol

Love to see the discussion on this set! The post linked from Blowout forums was mine. I certainly understand and appreciate the position that the different reds, for example, are just variations in printing and not true card varieties. The differences are quite stark in person, and for my personal checklist I'm continuing to list them all. I'm cool with leaving things how they are for this site. The varieties with blue pictures or red pictures instead of black can't be denied. Those are very very rare.
Does anyone have colors not shown on my Blowout forum post? Or any rare Marcus Allens? :)
