Why is there a separate checklist for these samples? There are "XXX" serial, proofs, and no numbered backdoored cards for so many sets. But this one has its own list. Its crazy having this show up in my player collection list as a separate item. If you have this card, just use the normal list and put a note in the comments? Just my .02

They aren't the same as the inserts. These just have XX/50 printed on them but they aren't actually serial numbered and don't have a print run. They're just promos, not backdoored regulars. Other Donruss sets have them too.

AFAIK - They're executive samples, not promos. The same as the normal card, except with an X'd serial. I just think its crazy to have a separate checklist for these since so many other sets have the same executive samples out there.

First Promos, Samples, Pre-production, etc. in essence mean the same thing and any can all use XXX in their use. Another example is in 96/97 Donruss Hit List has a Lindros promo that is PROMO/10000. If you think there are item that MAY be listable here then bring that to the forums for discussion. Be mindful of the FAQ when presenting the sets though. There may be a reason some are listed and some aren't. Going nuts over this is silly.

Lol. Just trying to point out that it opens a can of worms creating unnecessary duplicate lists for executive samples. It's not like it's the pinnacle bankruptcy stuff where there is only the executive cards, and the real product was never released.

Off the top of my head I have these cards, do they need "sample" parallel checklists?

These "Executive Samples" were released into the marketplace nearly immediately, as we have several of Steve Yzerman that we got pretty much upon release of the product. They were not bankruptcy back-doored items as we got them way before the bankruptcy.
