Based on my research, both varieties are easy to find and neither holds a premium.

I think I have that card. Don't recall which version. I seem to recall the "crack in the wall" thing though.

That is interesting. It's hard to believe that any airbrush was done, if it was they could have completely hidden the cracks. I'm no expert on how those things are printed, but perhaps the adjustment was made to just the black printing plate. Or perhaps one of the color plates shifted just enough to blur the crack?

The opeechee version shows the crack...is there a photoshopped version of that? I doubt it...but...

I'm just fascinated by the back of the card with complete major league statistics. I loved the days when card backs were done this way.
