As best I can tell from information gathered here, at Baseball Card Pedia and on eBay, the 2001 each series was available in the following formats (questions embedded):
Blaster Boxes: Available at retail locations, in the following arrangements: 14+1 Packs priced 13.99/box, 20+2 packs priced $19.99/box and 29+3 packs priced 28.99/box. Individual packs are marked at $0.99/each. QUESTION - I am missing visual confirmation of the 20+2 Blaster variety for series 2 - is it safe to assume they were available that way?
Retail Box, both series having 36 10-card packs per box. No marked prices on packs or boxes.
Hobby Box, both series having 36 10-card packs. No marked prices on packs or boxes.
HTA Boxes, containing 12 45-card packs, no price markings. QUESTION - Perhaps a stupid question, but I assume these contained the HTA foiled-stamped cards?
Each series was also issued in 15-card packs, priced at $2.99 each and packed in boxes of 24 stacked in two columns of 12. QUESTION - I can find no image of any intact box, nor any specific reference to them elsewhere - what were these? Hobby exclusive? Retail exclusive??
5 Factory sets were available: Hobby, Retail, HTA, Employee and Limited.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks! As I build my master sets I want to be able to track all product availability formats as well and I have been surprised a bit at how challenging it can sometimes be.
