2017 Topps Update Baseball Forum

BaseballCardPedia identifies this set as SN15 and Cardboard Connection identifies it as SN15 or less, which I assume means that some cards could be less than 15 but they don't identify which ones.

Does anyone know if the whole set is SN15 or are there exceptions?

I have also found a similar situation with the Topps Salute Autographs Red subset. BaseballCardPedia has it as SN10 and Cardboard Connection has it as SN10 or less.

Does anyone know which ones are less than 10 or are they all 10s?

More of the same situation with All-Star Stitches Autographs and All-Star Stitches Autographs Orange. BaseballCardPedia has the SNs at 25 and 10 respectively and Cardboard Connection has the same numbers but with the "or less" caveat. The only image we have shows an SN10 from the first set (not orange). Hmm.

Again, anyone with additional info might be able to clear this up.

Please understand that BaseballCardPedia is a crowd-sourced site (much like we are), and they have a ton of errors there.

Cardboard Connection gets their info directly from the card manufacturers, and their info is generally more reliable (provided the card companies have provided them with the correct info - not always the case, but that's usually Panini with insert card numbering).

Assuming Cardboard Connections " x or less" assessments are correct, how do you indicate that here? Do we just go with the given number and make adjustments as we find out specifically which ones are less? Or do we leave it unmarked since we are not 100% positive what the SN numbers are. If we go with the first idea, here is a summary of the sets that fit this description.

1. 1987 Topps Baseball Autographs Glossy SN15 or less

2. Topps Salute Autographs Red SN10 or less

3. All-Star Stitches Autographs SN25 or less

4. All-Star Stitches Autographs Orange SN10 or less

5. All-Star Stitches Jumbo Patch Autographs SN10 or less

6. All-Star Stitches Jumbo Patch Autographs Orange SN5 or less

7. All-Star Stitches Dual Autographs Orange SN10 or less

I want to point out that All-Star Stitches Dual Autographs is already labeled SN25 while it is marked 25 or less on CC.

I also am curious about the image posted here for Carlos Correa's All-Star Stitches Autographs card that clearly marked 04/10. Are we sure that this is not from the Orange subset. I have trouble distinguishing between these parallel sets sometimes.

I do understand that this site is crowd-sourced. I'm just trying to help get it right.

We don't have a note for "X or less" that I know of, so someone can correct me, but I believe what we'd do here is leave the notes as they are until examples are found and we can update the serial numbers on a case-by-case basis.

We find out what each and every individual card is, and we document it with "SN10", "SN9", "SN8", etc. In other words, we do research. We are also crowd-sourced, and that's why posts like this are VERY important - hopefully people are looking at this and trying to help determine the cards that are SN10 and those that are not.
