2003 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites Baseball Forum

This set has an insert set titled “Vintage Embossed Buybacks” .  In the last couple of days, a member has started to create individual insert sets by year within this set - https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/410920/2003-Topps-All-Time-Fan-Favorites---Topps-Vintage-Embossed-Buybacks-1954. These individual year insert sets are duplicating the cards in the all year inclusive insert that already existed.

What is the correct way these should be listed, do we delete these new insert sets or transfer all the collections and images from the original to the new ones?

As lomng as the cards are not being duplicated, breaking them out by year is fine. The cards from the combined set should be MIGRATED to the individual sets. Not added to the individuals, transferred and then deleted.

Sounds like a lot of work for little result.  Why create 50 insert sets of 1-5 cards instead of keeping 1 insert set of 180 cards.  I understand if there are hundreds or even dozens of cards in each year, but seems like real overkill in this instance.

Are these the only cards in the insert or is it ongoing like the 2017 Rediscover Topps one? These ones have print runs listed, which makes me think they're the only buybacks available, but I don't know for sure. If this is the complete set, it didn't need to be split out.

Online sources (not sure how reputable) have stated either 184 or 194 total Embossed Buybacks.

For less than 200 cards, it seems like a pointless endeavor.

There were 950 different embossed buybacks issued for 2003 Topps Fan Favorites.

950 different examples? Where is there a list?
