2003 Topps Chrome Baseball Forum

Hey guys,

As always, thanks for the help........but looking for this I came up empty. This carrd came in a sealed case with a "Topps Vault" sticker sealing it. it has a blank back with what seems to be a serial number authentication number. Thanks again!

These are a Blank Back parallel of whatever the set the front card is from.  Typically just released for sale through Topps' Vault account on eBay.  I don't know what set this is so check the set to see if the Blank Back parallel checklist is already added. 

Topps sells a bunch of blank backs directly through eBay from their Vault store. Many of their releases get the blank back treatment. They're a bit of a curiosity, and an easy money grab for Topps but as such they're not the most desirable of 1/1's and I don't think we lost them here? (Actually I see some listed....)

Well, I did kind of try that. It appears to be a 2003, however, is says topps chrome on the top of the card, but isnt a chrome card.........looks to be a regular card stock......not to mention that it has a white border and the chrome has a blue border, and there was nothing in the database under chrome. So I thought I would look up regular topps, but didnt see anything there either.

I don't know exactly where it was written by Admin, whether it was in a PM or in a comment for an IR, but the Topps Vault stuff is now allowed on TCDB, but it's being added like the buybacks - only cards that are known to exist can be added, not full sets (because we're unsure if Topps actually released any full sets of any of these Vault cards to the public).

This is a 2003 Topps Chrome card (despite it's lack of chrome finish) and should be listed there.

Agreed, I was thinking it may be some sort of proof/progressive type item beyond just a "normal" blank back. They have sold items like that as well

Generally, an IR to let us know is good, but adding images here helps us identify the true location.

Question, the sticker on the back, only had like a 5- to 7-digit number and the 1/1 on it, correct? No card number matching 3with the base set (#365)?

It has a holographic sticker that reads "Topps Authentic" in the holographic and in black lettering printed on the sticker it has the numbers 7857913

So it is a 7-digit number on it, but no 1/1?
