Per instructions, adding pictures of a card that I own that is a 1/1 of the 2004 Legendary Cuts of Nolan Ryan. Card #84
Thank you and please add at your earliest convenience.

I'm guessing each VAR has a different "Significant Fact" printed on the front.

It sounds counterintuitive on the face of it, but should this set have notes that read: "MEM, SN1, PRxx" where the SN1 indicates the "1 of 1" stamp and the PRxx indicates the number of "variations"? I put "variations" in quotes because the difference between the individual cards was created by a post-printing process that is more like serial numbering than a true variation.
This set could certainly use some Release Notes for clarification.

I believe the 2004 SP Authentic "Game Dated" set is a similar setup to this set with multiple 1/1's containing different dates for each player

I thought about the SN1 part.
It seems to be a post production addition - the banner under the MEM swatch. This is very similar to the Lettermen sets. I'm not a fan of the concept. That means there are 99 Nolan Ryan "1 of 1"s in this set, with different banners. They REALLY aren't 1/1s, now are they?

I agree that these are not 'really' 1 of 1's, but the card does have a 1 of 1 marking from the manufacturer. From an identification standpoint, I think the listing should have the SN1 note. Look at it from the OP's point of view. He's got a card in hand that says it is a 1 of 1 but can only find a listing in the Database for one that is a PR99. If the listing had the SN1 note, it would have been more evident that it is the listing that matches the card.

I would suggest a set release note along the lines of "All cards in this set are marked 1/1 due to the different facts listed in the front banner, but the overall design is identical for the entire print run. Variations should be added for each unique fact as they are discovered." Each card would receive the notes "MEM, PRxx, VAR", and Note2 for the above card would read "MEM: Game-worn Pants; VAR: 8/20/74 Strikes Out 19 in 11 Innings". This would let us keep the current format for the set without listing hundreds of variations we cannot currently identify, but would easily allow those to be added one by one in the future.

One annoying thing with the Nolan Ryan card, the "Significan Fact" doesn't match the team. He was with the California Angels in 1974.
