2018-19 Hoops Basketball Forum

I was going through a ton of cards I had got last year,( I didn't know anything about them at all) so they went into a box till now. I really don't know what cards are good and what is not, I don't even watch basketball anymore. Lol So I was going through them and I saw I have one of these in yellow that is in perfect condition I think it would do really good if graded. I'm not sure what to do with it and wanted so opinions if possible and is it worth anything? Please let me know. Thank you Dustin

I see two for sale on ebay, with asking prices of about $700 (Graded 9.5) and $1400 (10.0). Asking prices for ungraded Doncic Hoops rookie cards on COMC are about $30-$40 for the base card, $100 for the purple, and $300 for the blue (no yellow for sale).

So yes, it is worth something. And probably worth having graded if you are planning to sell it.

Thank you, I think I will send it in to get graded with a few other cards that look to like they will grade high. I have an 89 rookie upper deck Ken Griffey Jr.  that looks like will grade high also, (looks perfect to me) but will only know when they come back. So that's what I am leaning towards anyway. Let me know if any other advise as it been a long time since I've messed around with cards. Thank you

The 1989 Ken Griffey Jr. cards gem less than 5% of the time. Be sure to also check the centering and condition of the hologram on the back (yes, the Upperdeck hologram). If it grades less than a 9 it's really not worth it. Heres a guy that submitted 51. Only one came back a Gem Mint 10. Good luck.

Wow that is good info thank you. I'll check that right away. Centering looks spot on but I don't grade cards lol. I found this Griffey Jr and goodwill in a 89 upperdeck  box set they priced for 3.00, usually when u check the set all the good cards are missing but the ol number 1 was there so I grabbed  it up. I've found loads of great cards there including a box with 12 Shaq rookies 3 David Robinson rookies and around 30 Michael Jordan cards 2 being 88 fleet stickers and a few 89's and most others were 90+  oh ya was 3 holo upperdeck  Jordan's  and lots of other hits from that time all in the same box. I paid 7.00 for the box.👍🏼. Thank you for your help guys.
