1992 Fleer Baseball Forum

According to baseballcardpedia and Beckett these cards were not marked with a certified stamp, however in the card in the link, there is a stamp on the card. (plus the AU is in blue and i believe his were signed in black)

Does anyone know why this card has a stamp? Something that should be listed or noted?

All the ones I've seen so far were signed in blue. As for the embossed stamp, maybe some got out with it? The one image we have doesn't appear to have it unless I'm missing it.

Here's an aftermarket auto that looks very similar to the ebay listing.  One possibility, Clemens was signing cards at a card show Fleer booth?

I saw a couple of those listed, i wasn't able to see the Stamp on them. There could be one and i just couldn't see it. The link i sent was the only one i could see the stamp on. Was just curious....

Many of the early 90s Fleer "spokesman" autos circulating with the "starburst" / Fleer Authority embossing ended up in the hobby post 2005 bankruptcy. These were redemption replacement cards, authentic autos, but stamped much later.

Early Fleer auto stamped cards were embossed with the FLEER "bubble letter" style embossing. I do not know for certain if pack issued Clemens autos were found with this stamp.

I believe the pack issued Clemens Au had no stamp on them at all. That's what had me confused. I was thinking it might be something like what jacksoncoupage said. Thanks for the info, i will go with that explanation.
