I have a checklist as below (partial list) -
1Tony Gonzalez - Atlanta Falcons / Kansas City Chiefs #10
IC-MA Morten Andersen - Atlanta Falcons / New Orleans Saints #25
IC-VT Vinny Testaverde - New York Jets / Tampa Bay Buccaneers #25
4 Bruce Matthews - Houston Oilers / Tennessee Titans #25
IC-TB Tim Brown - Los Angeles Raiders / Oakland Raiders #10
6 Fran Tarkenton - Minnesota Vikings / New York Giants #15
7 Bill Romanowski - Denver Broncos / San Francisco 49ers #25
IC-BD Brian Dawkins - Denver Broncos / Philadelphia Eagles #15
IC-WM Warren Moon - Houston Oilers / Minnesota Vikings #10....
As you can see, I don't have actual card numbers for ALL the cards (I tried looking them up online to get the exact numbering). My question is, should I upload the checklist as is and then can the cards be re-arranged alphabetically or should I just wait until I can possibly find all the correct card numbers (which may be forever!)?

Yup - had this same conversation with vrooomed and another member the other day. Basically, if you use the given Panini numbers, you’re guaranteed to have most of them wrong because we know they’re not numbered that way. But if you use initials, at least most of them, if not all, will be correct, and we may only have to change one or two as Billy said.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

i had this convo the other day with someone.. If you "assume" initials you're probably going to be 50/50 because panini doesn't use the same initials across sets on the same player.. IE: sometimes Jordon Howard is JH and other times he's JO. Tony Romo is TR and TO and if you do a card search in the bar you'll never find it and if you do, its easy to be confused. Whether right or wrong, i prefer entering incomplete Alpha listings with the number just like almost listed above:
IC-1Tony Gonzalez - Atlanta Falcons / Kansas City Chiefs SN10
IC-MA Morten Andersen - Atlanta Falcons / New Orleans Saints SN25
IC-VT Vinny Testaverde - New York Jets / Tampa Bay Buccaneers SN25
IC-4 Bruce Matthews - Houston Oilers / Tennessee Titans SN25
Its a lot easier that card #1 is IC-1 which can be identifiable off of the MFR CL, Cardboard or Becket than TG or TO which one of the two is wrong, if guessed. I personally think its better to properly fill in the alpha numbers overtime with the correct initials

Tony, I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. If you use the numbers, you're guaranteed to be incorrect. This is intentionally entering incorrect information. If you use initials, yes, some are going to be wrong, but 75% (or more) will be correct from the start. Using numbers, 100% will be incorrect.

we can agree to disagree, i personally though never liked entering incorrect alpha numbers. i sometimes spend numerous hours to validate each card and in some cases they can be very long CL as opposed to taking that same list and just guessing through it all for the sake of entering the CL. Moving forward, ill follow and be consistent, i just see possibly more questions being brought up about "is this card right?" ....... i said my peace.

I understand your points, and find that to be pretty solid. :)
I prefer that we do as you stated, and research prior to adding the checklists, and upload them in a correct state to begin with. Then our area of "disagreement" is not even an area we live in.
Looks like we're really on the same page after all!

Maybe I'm asking in the wrong place - if so, please let me know. I'm trying to find the card shown in the image below to add to my collection. I thought I should be able to find it under the 2018 Immaculate set but I've yet to find it. Any help on where I can find on the site? Thanks for the help.
