2007 Topps Baseball Forum

Hello there. This is my first forum post. I was trying to add this card but its hard to find info on it online so I could not add it the normal way as it could not be easily verified. Anyone seen this card? Its obviously from 2007 Topps but not sure if Update or Regular. 

I would think its worthy to be added to the site, but thats me.

PS. Have a straighter version of the back to get on website, but cant figure out how to edit it from here. 

The first line seems to indicate it's a Walmart complete set exclusive and there are 55 cards total. The wildcard one is on Amazon, but BaseballCardPedia and CardboardConnection don't have anything about this set.  We'll need to research some more

55 cards in the set - 54 players and 1 "wild card".

OP needs to help in the research.

There is a 54 numbered card set based on 2007 Topps and Walmart on this site, that the same 54 folks could be thinking of? But Saltalamacchia is not part of it. His card is just a part of the contest to get them, not sure there are 54 different ones of those. Never seen another one of these contest redemption cards personally, have occasionally checked for others over the years and its been dry.

The only thing that set has in common with this set is that they were in packs exclusively at Walmart. That's it.

We're all freaking blind. Let's read the back of the card:

HOW TO PLAY - Look for a ROY randomly inserted in specially marked boxes of Topps 2007 Baseball Complete Set ...available exclusively at Wal-Mart.

There you have it - they are inserts in factory sets. Now to figure out who the other 53 players were.

Saltalamacchia wasnt a ROY though, the 54 card set folks were. 

Admit, apart from just knowing its a redemption card for a Walmart rookie of the year set, do not know any other players in this. 

If there were others, surprised have not seen them, then again, not seen another Saltalamacchia since I got it back in 2007. 

Guess will check auction and card sites occasionally and hope another non fulfilled redemption shows up.

COMC has three cards listed as sold out.

nice find. Man, these cards seem secretly hard to find a single of who you want. If 54 of them, Topps guesses for ROY winners to be perhaps, they are scarce.
