I was thinking the same thing!!! It's less than normal printing (wether intentional or not), thus SP. No need for SSSSSSSSSSSP or however many more S's you want to throw in there. Unless a card is designated with a lesser printing some other way (SN, Parallel, etc.) Then it should just be denoted SP. As was mentioned before, in the set notes, the odds could be posted there to refer back to, but no need for more extraneous designations.

Hi hockey guy here, UD has now started the easter egg program with NO production numbers. The black series in all products are only known to be five or less, no SN given. Same as some other inscription cards, how about the pond hockey in OPCP. What do we give those cards how about MSPC3000 LOL

Given the trove of information here I have always found it weird that we do not list insertion odds for cards when they are known.

If they're available, they should be entered into the Release Notes of a set or insert/parallel

Super-Short Short Print. Or if it's the 1976 White Sox, Super Short-Short Print.

Related: where can we find "release notes"? I've heard this referred to multiple times but have never found a link on the set pages. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious

Beware that insertion odds vary depending on pack type (i.e. jumbo packs, hobby packs, blasters, hanger pack, tin, etc.). If we are doing this, I hope insertion odds info (for example 2020 Topps Series 2 Gold parallels) say something like "1:3 Jumbo Packs, 1:9 Hobby packs, 1:2 Hanger packs, 1:4 Fatpacks". Series 1 insertion odds may be different from Series 2.

I tried to lobby for removing "SSP" from the glossary a couple years ago but got beaten down by many members who liked the differentiation. If all the other cards have been printed in the 100,000s and some were printed to 10,000, others to 5,000, and some others to 100, anything that wasn't in the 100,000s is a short print and should be noted with "SP". This SSP and multiple S's is bullcrap.

Release Notes are available when you can edit a set (as far as you being able to enter them).
The Release Notes (if added) will display on the left side, under the sample image. For the inserts , they are also displayed under the set name on the "inserts/related" page.
All Release Notes are reviewed by Admin before they are allowed to be displayed on the site.
