Go in there now. Someone has a ton of scans in there for approval. Several of his have reviewed and still others pororly cropped and those will all get accepted by the next person who goes in there and wants some points.

I think people are setting their own images to "Reviewed" without cropping them (MAJOR PET PEEVE!), then whoever goes into queue to help sees the blue tint thinking it's ready to go and just approves it.
As far as the penny sleeve/hard plastic thing, I've been told we can still approve those as long as it's cropped properly and they were scanned, not photographed.
As for the original topic, I was gonna say I expected nothing less from a Penguins fan, but I'll be nice!

Not true, penny sleeves and toploaders cause light reflection, thus light, white, missing, incomplete areas on the cards.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Not necessarily. I received self-approval quite quickly after uploading a lot of "perfect" scans.

There should be a reject button that says scanned in top loader/penny sleeve. That way people will know why they're getting bounced.

Agreed on the light reflection (and I'll reject those), but I've also seen penny sleeve scans that were acceptable, so the approvers have to use best judgement.

Similar topic....I have a few cards I got from Topps....most recently a couple project 2020 cards. Those are in cases and I'm not going to crack them just to scan them in. I do believe in CERTAIN cases, a scan of the card in a protective case would be acceptable....but I would say ONLY if from the manufacturer that way......

No. The case is a means of protection. Let's start scanning in those unopened wax and cello packs, as that's how they were sent from the manufacturer.
I say that in jest, but understand, we're documenting the cards, and a scan of the CARD is what is desired here. If you want to show the card in the case, put that in the packaging area. Packaging does not belong in the card images.
