There are two 1/1 cards in this set I'd really like to get my mitts on. How in the world does a guy even go about DOING that? It has got to be next to impossible to locate them.
BTW... it's the Bart Shirley and Bob Shirley cards.

Best advice would to post on multiple database/forums sites and make a post that you are in search for it. Comc, cardboardconnection, beckett marketplace, etc. Google searches might locate it as well. I'm not very savvy personally with searching for specific 1 off cards myself. If I happen to come by it in my many subscribed places, I will immediately alert you to its location. Good luck!

I was amazed when a LCS managed to acquire all four copies of an 'SN4' Carey Price patch card a few years back.

You may want to contact a large card shop or 2 on the west and east coast. They have a lot of contacts. As stated your LCS may be helpful.
Know several guys that have done that. Cost them more then they wanted but got the cards.
We do have aa area where shopes are listed below.

The majority of these low serial numbered cards are on eBay and more likely different facebook groups. And a good group will help find cards and connect you with people that might help. You just have to do some searches and try a few.

A search string for Ebay can be like this (there are no hits for Shirley in current or sold) but can work for searching for 1/1 on ebay.

depending on the player also there may be a super collector out there on twitter and instagram. You can search on those platforms and get in touch with them maybe they have it already or Know of who might.
I found a super collector of my PC guy in australia and follow him. He seems to get all the 1 of 1s, but interesting follow.

Great thread. I'd add the following:
On eBay
- in case you didn't know, it's possible to search "sold" listings from the past. to do so, click "advanced" to the right of the search bar and then select from the options
- use "save a search" to have a notification sent to you whenever a new listing pops up
Use Google Alerts
- using google alerts works like the "save a search" option on eBay.
LCS, Auction Houses and others can also help but only if you ask them (nicely) 8^]
Good luck

thanks for your question. I've never heard of 2014 Leaf Famous Fabrics Big Apple.
Now I have
a set of 2,000 cards base set where every card is a 1/1
that's quite a product
