Hah! I'm actually really bad at reading card backs. I am, however, a history nut. I don't even know how many books I've read about WWII. Scads. I lost count. Probably into the triple digits. 

Update:  I found a site that has hundreds for sale.  Unfortunately no checklist so going through each listing and adding them to the checklists I have started.  So far, there are sets 1-88 and 101-130.  There are also two other insert sets, one explaining the symbology on the cards and another being a foldout on several topics including the Chronology of the war.

I am still not sure how many checklists I will have complete by the time I finish with this site.  Some have one entry and others have 20+.  I am on page 5 with 120 listed on each page.  Not sure how many pages there are on the site but there are at least 9 so at least 600 more cards to list.  As I get the checklists complete, I will create the Insert set for it and upload the checklist.

I have searched the internet for these, going through one card at a time and building the checklists.  Of the 118 sets, I completed 56 of the checklists + the Symbol Glossary set. I also have another 26 sets that I am missing the identification of one card in the set. In the remaining 36 sets, I have 5 or less missing in all but 10 of the sets.  Sets with the most cards missing are in the high number sets. I think I have exhausted the internet search.  If someone finds a site with checklists, please advise.  The two sites I found most on were breakout cards - uk and collectors.com

I have uploaded the checklists that are complete.  Not wanting to upload incomplete checklists, I have the remainder of the checklists started and saved on a drive.

Tagging along on all of this information with the Sportscaster cards of the late 70s is one variation that isn't listed. George Brett (and probably others) has a variaton on the back copyright line. I just found 2 plastic containers, one blue, one green with a lot of these cards in them in the top of a bedroom closet at my parents. I remember getting them in sets montly in the 70s. Dont think it is a complete collection. If I find all 20 cards in a set that has no checklist I will post here with the 20 cards of the set to add the checklist. Unless everyone lost interest in it.

I have checklists started for aall(?) the sets so hopefully you can fill in those I don't have complete.  If we can get them to where there are only 1 or 2 missing, we can add it in with TBD for the odd ones missing.

I counted the cards and have 2,520. Probably missing the last deck. It will take a while to order them since they are ordered by the color index cards right now. Gotta get a magnifying lense tommorrow  to see numbers since Im on vacation. Hopefully ithis will help with filling in the missing numbers in the checklists.
