Um, I think I said exactly the opposite - wrong has been done. If I had the ProSet football cards, I could make these. I could make 1,000s of them from 1991 Donruss baseball. Laws were broken. Copyrights were infringed. ProSet did not issue these cards as such, therefore they do NOT belong here. If so, I'm going to start making them too.

OK, then I go back to my original questions from earlier.
If everyone knows about this, then why is nothing be done?
I bought my from the Burbank Card Compnay off ebay.
I called this company and all they said was, "these cards were handed out at a card convention in 2000.

Maybe that's how the original company (Diamond Edition) got away with doing this was by giving them away. Maybe Burbank was the lucky recipient of (all of?) these.
Here's the deal, you want to collect these, wonderful. The question was asked if they belong here, and the answer is unequivocly "No". If the stamping was not how the card was issued in packs, then it doesn't get checklisted here. It would be like adding cards because you've gotten them autographed by the player. I have a COA from when I got Lenny Dykstra to sign his 86 Donruss RC at a card show. Let's add that! Admin says we can't. Same with these.

Vroomed last statement is exactly correct, I too asked Admin about these when I first got mine, and I got the exact answers as above( ..... hmmmmm ;) ....... ) and I agree with them. If not done by the manufacturer it should not be on here, no aftermarket stuff. I have my Ranford in my binder and will display it but as for copyright and all that jazz, meh I got bigger issues to worry about ....... damned taxman LOL!!!!

The cards really are copyright infringement, but of companies that no longer exist. You can't be sued for copyright infringement by a company that is long gone. Who has an office at Pro Set that can sue anybody? They are all aftermarket alterations that were done after the company went out of business.
The fact that Burbank is selling them shows how desparate they are to make some money. Burbank Sports Cards is the worst "hobby store" I've ever known and I refuse to do business with them. Their prices are always book value PLUS shipping (no matter what site you're looking at) and they continue to sell stuff that was never pack-released. They have no morals and NO respect for the hobby itself! It doesn't matter to me how bad I need a card. If it's listed by Burbank, I'm not buying it. I don't even add cards from them on my ebay Watch List anymore b/c they never drop the price, even when the book value goes down for a card.

I look at them as being altered, and are ruined. I bet PSA, BGS, or SGC won't grade them.

Yeah, I made the mistake of picking up some of these a few years back. BAH! Glad I found out what the deal was with these before I wasted any more money.
Maybe I will take some of my junk and start putting smiley face stickers over the faces of players and use a Sharpie to marke it 1/1. And then make up a COA stating that it was made by Legendwaitforitderry Parallels.
Definitely not something that is worthy of a TCDB checklist. However, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them in individual collectors' collections.

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

There is no copyright infringement if they aren't actually copying anything. If they were reprinting the cards, or producing new cards using the same photos, logos and text, and then stamping them that would be copyright infringement. All they did was stamp something that someone else made and sold it again. No laws against re-packaging and re-selling existing cards, or TriStar and Leaf would be out of business.
