I have 2 cards with the same back, card 421, but the foil on each is a different color. One is green and the other is gold. Are they the same card? I only found one color when I entered it into my collection.

Seems to me like they may have had a rainbow variation to their foil cards. I found this ebay listing that sort of shows the same thing you have.

No variation. All the foils were irradesent (rainbow).

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I think the "foil" either had a slight copper component which oxidizes green or the "rainbow effect" was done in layers with the base being green...Only because I only recall rainbow foil as well but have seen some that have been opened and left out that look more green or pink...just my humble opinion...Becky

ive been studying the colors of the foil cards for some years. What I have concluded is the cards can be separated into 4 separate colors groups.. 1)yellowish/pink
2) green/yellow.
3) blueish/green.
4) purple/blue.
I've been trying to build a complete set for each color and the rarest color to find seems to be the blueish/green version.
4)
P.S. I also heard someone mention about a "Gold" Joe Montana card that he had. I personally have a Barry Sanders card with an all Gold border

Yikes. This is how I felt collecting 1948-52 Exhibit cards. They were Black & White, then each shade got added as a color variant, sepia, green, tan.. I have no idea what color "Panel Card" is supposed to be as opposed to the others. I was pleased to just put a set of them together, checked them off as Black & Whites and considering it done.
