Hi,
I'm trying to determine if this card (Courtney Hall, #362) is an unidentified error and how I should classify it in my collection. All base cards in this set, I believe, have yellow set numbers; this one however is dark grey. It is pretty difficult to see in the photo but, the font style and everything else appears to match the set design.
Any insights would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Card number, not set number. Your photo is too low res. Would need a high-res scan of the card number area.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

How did you get this card? Did you pull it from a pack like this? Could it be that someone else had it and colored it in with a marker or something?

Very interesting, appears to be a new variation.
I know a few E&V collectors convinced that there are undiscovered variations among the 90s Topps football sets. Please post a close up, cleaner pic when you can.

@C2Cigars; @jacksoncoupage - Here is a close up of the card number (best resolution that I can get. I did ask the same question, regarding the number being possible colored in. It doesn't appear to be. I hope this helps to clarify and to draw a conclusion.
@vroomed (Dan) - I honestly don't remember when or how I got this card. I was 11 years old in 1993 and I have 28 total cards (2 gold) from this set (minus donated duplicates or traded cards). If I had to guess given these limited accounts, I would say that I probably bought a couple of packs from 1 of 4 local hobby shops in the small town that I grew up in, at the time.

You don't have a scanner? A high res scan of the number would be helpful. For example:
-------------------------------
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

The number looks gold stamped.

I had the same thought.
There is precedent for Topps printing a 2nd color on top of an existing color (1991 Topps Robin Ventura, for ex.) and this is what appears to be the case here.
