Please help me understand how the situation would work for TIDs. I see a lot of changes proposed and made to this one set in particular.
Cards show a player wearing one team's uniform, has colors of another team as part of the template (due to a trade or FA signing), yet neither team name is printed on card front. What team should be honored?

According to FAQ, the named team is the one tagged to the player, not the uniform. There is a "hierarchy" list under the "Team" section. Number one is follow the label saying "traded to..."(or whatever it says in each card's case).

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

Yes, even if the team is mentioned on the back it takes precedence than the uniform. There were some that were changed due to this, and some changed because an NFL team was assigned to college cards (to the team that ended up drafting them) but there was no mention of the team drafting the player so they reverted back to the college team.
EDIT: If Dan sees this he has the ultimate example, message him if you want for the exact cart, but I can't remember what card it is. It is a 50s baseball card that has the team pictured and that teams name on the front...but on the back in one corner it says "Philadelphia Phillies" where the player was moved to over the winter and that is all Topps did to indicate the team change so it is a Phillies card.

This set the team logo on the back is used to assign teams.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yup C2C is correct, plus I just checked my messages and the original submitter sent me a message saying he realized he messed up. I myself did not see the ghosted logos either. My eyes obviously are not what they used to be. Looks like those affected have been returned to normal and I now know what to "squint" for in the future.
Here is a visual example. Note the Saints logo faintly present behind the bio.

Here's the hierarchy from the FAQ; #5 applies:
Cards of players in professional uniforms
-
- Use team in any "Traded to, Signed with, Now with, etc." statement printed on the card
- Use team printed on the front of the card
- Use team logo printed on the front of the card
- Use team name printed prominently on back of card (not in biographical write-up)
- Use team logo printed on back of card
- Use team uniform shown on front of card

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).

Interesting thread. I remember one from back in the 1950s: 1954 Topps Johnny Lipon
https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/33/cid/6210/1954-Topps-19-Johnny-Lipon
It even says on the back of the card that he was traded to the White Sox. It even shows a third team in the card photo.

I do not sell/buy cards, my sell/trade lists are for trade only. Thanks for your understanding.

Like the last line states, he was traded to the White Sox. The team printed on the back is White Sox. He was traded before he ever played for the Orioles. So the bakc of the card is correct. Shouldn't this card be linked to the White Sox and not an UER?
