2023 Topps Chrome Baseball Forum

I just opened a box of 2023 topps chrome at my LCS. I received normal stuff all the way through and then got two five card packs and a four card pack that was extra and made it 27 packs in the box. These extra packs were all base that I had already got in the box.

I don't know what to think????????????

Well, I'm dumb, but have found I can live through it....

Don't look back, thank your lucky stars that you got extra packs. Getting only double means you have something to trade away to fill your needs.

I was just browsing ebay and saw the 2023 Topps Chrome 27 Mike Trot subzero froze fractor SN -1 / 0

and as the OP wrote "I'm dumbfounded"

and that led me here, to see if it's listed on TCDb [it is]

and to see what the deal is:  it's SN / 5, but inversely, so -1, -2, -3, -4, -5 / 0

fascinating, wondrful, stupid and hysterical all at the same time.

Is the db capable of negative integers?

irrelevant because the note about numbering is always prefaced by text "SN" and then the print run / serial number run. 

it's an overall text string

the db will list as SN 5, even though the cards appear to be out of "0"

and negative integers don't come into play at all

Was a joke.

One time I opened a box of 1990 Pro Set Series 1 football and it had an extra pack that only had 3 cards in it.
