2003 Upper Deck Football Forum

Does anyone know if the "Sports Nut" insert set that is linked to 2003 Upper Deck football actually exists? Was going to verify some TIDs and I can't find this set anywhere online. I see some from MVP baseball, basketball, and hockey, but nothing from football. There is one site member who hasn't logged in since May who has one card from this set listed in his collection.  Does anyone know more?

I see them on eBay for Basketball, Hockey and Baseball in 2003.  They appear to be some kind of scratch off fantasy game.  I went through a couple of eBay pages to see if there was a football card but can't find a single one.  It would seem weird that Upper Deck did the Sports Nut Insert for every sport but football.

That's what I was thinking, especially because there is a full checklist on this site (although I do know that isn't necessarily accurate). Perhaps it was strictly an online set, using codes from packs or inserted cards to "unlock" virtual cards online?

There was a thread about this same topic a few months ago. I can't remember if there was ever a definite answer.

This is the thread spazmatastic was talking about. I couldn't find any proof that either the 2003 or 2004 set exists.

Aha. Someone beat me to the punch. Whoops. So the situations looks the same still. Was there ever a decision made? For the record, I couldn't find anything for 2004 either, but I certainly didn't look as hard, as I was focusing on 2003.

Maybe you can copy it and archive it somewhere just in case it's an unreleased set that gets backdoored 20 years from now...

But in my professional card sleuthing opinion, this set does not exist!
