1964 Topps Baseball Forum

Anyone have, or ever seen a copy of this card that has a white splotch on Charlie's cheek?  At first, I thought it was paper loss, a stain, or whatever, but no matter how I look at it, it seems "original" .  I can't find anything on eBay for sale like it, so not sure what to think....why would I have what might be a "1/1"?

I'm also a techno-dinosaur...can't figure out how to post the picture of my card :(

There's a highlight from the sun reflecting on his cheek, as well as the edge of his lip. Is that what you are referring to?

I think I see what you are referring to,,,,this card has a splotch farther back closer to his ear.  I'm sorry I haven't figured our how to post the picture.  Everytime I think I've got it, it doesn't appear in my latest reply.

It's tough to comment without a picture but my guess without seeing anything is that if it's different than any other samples you have seen that it is either a printing flaw or the card was damaged by something over it's life. Please don't refer to it as a 1/1 making it seem rare and unusual. It's probably flawed. I just hate when someone finds a defective card and treats it like an ultra rare treasure.

Once you've clicked on the Image icon and entered the image URL, try clicking anywhere in the Image Properties dialog box. For me, that makes the image appear in the Preview box. Set the width to somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-600 (or less if it's a rather small image). Then click OK. Hope that helps.
