1978 Topps Baseball Forum

Are the Dynamite magazine Topps inserts listed anywhere on this site? They appeared in the magazine from as I recall about 1978- 1981. Those are the years I have as panels. Some are 2 card , some 4 and some 6. Also have them as full magazine with inserts still intact. 

Did these also appear in 1982?  I’ve recently picked up several 6 Card panels that are similar in size to the ones that where in the magazine but I’m unable to verify they came from Dynamite.

Any information is appreciated.

They will not be listed - they were simply panels from previously uncut sheets that could be in all sorts of 6-card configurations. Plus they are the exact same cards that came in packs - and because of that, Admin has said that they won't be listed here.

Have you found them listed anywhere else that does checklists?

SCD only listed a couple panels each year, and only for 1977-1979.  I know the panels started as early as 1975 and went up to at least 1983.  There are lots of them on eBay. Kit Young has loads of them. Looks like there were some 3-card panels in 1978 and 1981, instead of the usual 6.

It appears the magazine switched to Topps stickers in 1984.

There were also football cards included in 1975.

Good stuff, is it known if all the sheets were used, or if it was only specific sheets?

Not a clue.  I don't think anyone has seriously tried to catalog them, so far.  I guess I could start doing that on my blog just to get the ball rolling.

My first 78s - and actually my first cards ever - came from a Dynamite - Darrell Porter, Al Oliver and two each of Tony Perez and Cecil Cooper.
