1983 Topps Baseball Forum

I recently purchased a lot of commons and found a 4 card panel featuring #705 (1982 Victory Leaders), #706 (1982 Strikeout Leaders), #642 (Checklist 529-660), and #143 (Joe Pettini) clockwise starting in the upper left. The backs are identical to the individual backs. Any ideas? Box bottom? Part of a larger sheet? I did find a similar panel for sale on eBay featuring 4 different cards and a 2-card panel as well.

I have a couple of 6-card panels like that from 1982. They are very cool (I even got one of the players to sign his card on one of the panels!). I can't list mine here (I asked Admin about this a while back), which means the same thing for these in 1983.

Any chance it could be part of a magazine insert? My panel does seem to be properly cut on 3 sides and torn on the 4th side. If so, what magazine?

Dynamite kids magazine inserted Topps cards in 1977 through 81.  Then I stopped getting the magazine so they may have inserted before or after, but I know they did for those 5 years.  If I remember correctly though it was 6 cards, but possibly 4.

Yes, it was 6 cards, but 4 appeared on one side of the fold and two on the other side, which would explain the edges. There was an entry about this in a recent Shlabotnick Report regarding a 1975 insert.
