I don't disagree, but there is precendent for separate.

I'm always for keeping same city/same nickname as one TID. However, I think an exception is when one is major league and one is minor league (Brewers, Orioles, Marlins). ------------------------------- A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."

I still agree with that. MLB and MiLB should be separate. But, if there are 2 incarnations of the same minor league team with the same name, they should be linked together, even if the newer team is in a different league than the original team.

Just to ask here since we are discussing lineage of teams- the Wichita Pilots were a minor league team for one year then they changed their names to the Wranglers. Should a TID be added to the database for the Pilots, or should the cards associated with them just be linked to the Wranglers.
