Ham's favorite Posada cardsby HamMcFly - 10 cards (Last updated on Sep 13, 2023) |
1. 1996 Upper Deck #159 Jorge Posada
This is my favorite Posada card only because it was one of the only I pack pulled as a kid. I stopped collected around this set and always loved the look of these cards. |
2. 2009 Topps - Gold #360 Jorge Posada
Far and away my favorite flagship image. The subtlety of getting geared up for the next inning and ready to go back to work is incredibly relatable and speaks to the thankless teammate Posada was. Coupled with Topps oldest flagship parallel is a great match. |
3. 2015 Topps Tier One - Dual Autographs #DA-RP Jorge Posada / Mariano Rivera
Seeing these two meet at the mound and shake hands after a win is one of the most consistent and happy memories of my young baseball watching life. Having autographs of them on the same card is pretty darn awesome. |
5. 1996 Collector's Choice - Gold Signature #636 Jorge Posada
I must have opened a case of this set a kid. Every weekend at the card shop I would get a few packs. I pulled a few nice gold signatures and thought they were so cool. This is one of the first wax Posada cards I went looking for when I began collecting again as an adult. |
6. 1999 Topps Chrome - Refractors #43 Jorge Posada
As an adult collector, I have leaned more toward chrome and refractors in particular, outside of my overall Posada collection. So his first flagship Topps Chrome refractor is naturally a favorite. |
7. 2003 Topps Chrome - Black Refractors #167 Jorge Posada
The black chrome refractors are great looking cards, and this is one of my favorite flagship images for Posada. |
8. 2010 Topps Heritage #411 Core Four (Andy Pettitte / Jorge Posada / Derek Jeter / Mariano Rivera)
I was incredibly fortunate to grow up watching these guys. Not just the wins, but the excitement of having a core of homegrown talent that were successful together for so long. |
9. 2009 Topps Updates & Highlights - Sketches #71 Jorge Posada
I didn't even realize this existed when I stumbled upon it. I missed it while compiling my flagship rainbow checklists so it was a wonderful surprise. I particularly like this card because I loved to draw as a child. Not that I was necessarily any good, but on more than one occasion I grabbed a baseball card and drew the image. This is a fun reminder of those times. |
10. 2004 Topps Chrome - Red X-Fractors #98 Jorge Posada
The red xfractor is so unique. Terrible shame all I have found have a print line, but as a big fan of chrome, and a big fan of xfractors, this unique combo is an easy favorite. |
