Player collectionsby stevienicks77 - 42 cards (Last updated on Jul 22, 2023) |
1. 1987 Topps #20 Gary Carter
1987 Topps was the first set I collected, and I was a little league catcher, so naturally, Gary Carter was one of my non-Cubbie favorites! I've always loved the 1987 Topps Carter card! |
2. 2010 Topps Chrome #184 Ike Davis
Ike gets in the PC because the Mets are a second-tier favorite team, and I used to play 1st base in high school. I thought he could have been the next Keith Hernandez. Oops. |
3. 2015 Topps Strata - Clearly Authentic Autographed Relics Red Laundry Tag #CAAR-MH Matt Harvey
Again, the Mets are one of my second-tier favorite teams, and I was really impressed with his rookie season, but I did enjoy seeing the Royals win the 2015 World Series over the Mets! |
5. 2005 Donruss #33 David Wright
I have been a fan since we visited Shea Stadium and everyone was crazy about him! I was so excited to see him play! |
6. 1986 Donruss #39 Jose Canseco
The Bash Brothers. Junk wax era of card collecting. I don't collect much of his cards on the other teams he was on. |
7. 1987 Donruss #46 Mark McGwire
The Bash Brothers. He played 1st base, and was on the A's, so he fit the criteria. I don't collect much of his Cardinals cards because I'm a die-hard Cubbie fan, and I just can't collect a Cardinals player. |
8. 1993 Topps - Inaugural Rockies #807 Troy Neel
This guy was my very first TTM success, and I sent it to him because I thought he was going to be the second coming of Mark McGwire. |
9. 1987 Donruss The Rookies #26 Terry Steinbach
Not a Bash Brother, but he was a very good catcher on the AL side when I was a kid. He was also a part of the A's teams that went to the World Series. |
10. 1988 Topps Traded #126T Walt Weiss
Part of those string of ROY awards and Oakland's post season run in the late 80's-early 90's. One of my first TTM autographs! |

Nice idea! How about a few words on why you collect these players? |
