Anaheim Ducks Goalies

1. 2000-01 O-Pee-Chee #46 Guy Hebert


The first goaltender in Anaheim hockey history was Guy Hebert. The New York native played the second-most games as a goaltender in Ducks history, appearing in 454 total games, including 13 in the playoffs, from 1993-2001. Hebert's record was 173-202-52 with a .911 % and a 2.76 GAA. Also was a 1997 All-Star.

2. 1998-99 UD Choice #2 Mikhail Shtalenkov


Shtalenkov also appeared in the Mighty Ducks' inaugural season, and his time with the Mighty Ducks was the bulk of his NHL career. He played 126 total games, 4 in the playoffs, with Anaheim from 1993-98, compiling a 34-53-11 record. He achieved a .897 % and a 3.14 GAA.

3. 1993-94 Topps Premier #286 Ron Tugnutt


The journeyman goalie Tugnutt was also a part of the Mighty Ducks' inaugural season. In his only season with the team, he appeared in 28 games, going 10-15-1 with a .908 % and a 3.00 GAA.

4. 1994-95 Parkhurst #268 Mike O'Neill


O'Neill appeared in one game for the Mighty Ducks in 1996. He assumed a relief role in a game against Pittsburgh on 12/11/96 for Mikhail Shtalenkov, and in 31 minutes allowed 3 goals on 10 shots.

5. 1998-99 Upper Deck #36 Tom Askey


Tom Askey appeared in 7 games for Anaheim during the 1997-98 season, donning #67 and #35. He went 0-1-2 with a .894 % and a 2.64 GAA.

6. 2000-01 Pacific #9 Dominic Roussel


Roussel appeared in 51 games for the Mighty Ducks from 1999-2001. Mostly was the backup to Hebert. He went 12-15-9, achieving a .901 % and a 2.85 GAA.

7. 2009-10 O-Pee-Chee #423 Jean-Sebastien Giguere


During the summer of 2000, the Calgary Flames would trade the Mighty Ducks their future most decorated goalie. Giguere appeared in the most games as a goaltender, minding the net for 499 total games as a Duck, including 52 in the playoffs. Compiled a 206-163-59 record with a .914 % and a 2.47 GAA. Giguere [undeservedly ;)] won the Conn Smythe in 2003, and was the goalie who won Anaheim its first Stanley Cup in 2007. Was a 2009 All-Star.

8. 2001-02 Upper Deck MVP #189 Gregg Naumenko


Naumenko appeared in two games during 2001, one in relief and one start. Relieved Giguere in a 8-0 shellacking by Dallas on 3/21 and started against Phoenix on 4/6, losing 5-2. Donning #68 and #1, he faced 29 shots in the two games and allowed 7 goals. .759 %, 5.99 GAA.

9. 2001-02 Pacific Atomic #2 Steve Shields


Shields was traded to Anaheim in 2001 for Teemu Selanne. Appeared in 33 games during the 2001-02 season going 9-20-2 with a .907 % and a 2.67 GAA.

10. 2007-08 O-Pee-Chee #15 Ilya Bryzgalov


Ahh, Bryz. Started his career in Anaheim in 2002, stayed there until 2007 before reappearing and making his career come full circle in 2015. In total Bryz appeared in 93 games in Anaheim including 16 in the playoffs. Compiled a 27-27-9 record with a .904 % and a 2.62 GAA. Backed up Giguere to a Stanley Cup in 2007.
