I collect all sports and have an ultimate goal of completing the 1952 - current Topps Baseball Base Set run. I have 1965, and 1968 - 2023 already done. Looking to trade for the remaining cards that I need but also open to buying depending on asking price. I am not condition sensitive at all and accept cards with wrinkles, creases, writing, etc... My available vintage cards would mainly be considered lower grade, but condition varies while more modern cards are mostly all in a near mint condition. I am also open to selling anything on my available list especially if we do not match on a trade. Feel free to message if you see anything you are interested in.

My current priority is completing 1954, 1959, and 1964 Topps Baseball and 1981 - 1982 Topps Hockey.

Lifelong Twins and Killebrew fan.

I started collecting as a kid in 1971. Walking up to the milk store about 10 blocks away, plopping down my 10 cents for a wax pack and 5 cents for a bubs Daddy. First card I remember seeing in a wax pack was Tom Tiimmerman - still have the card in my collection.

I really got hooked in 1972 when I saw a rack pack with the Roberto Clemente in Target. In 1975 My aunt bought my brother and me a complete set of Topps cards which took what seemed forever to arrive. I got the Dodgers cards, my brother got the Reds cards (we had to hate something about each other) and I think we divided up the rest.

Started collecting for complete sets in 1976-1979. Stopped in 1980 cuz it wasn't cool as a HS Senior.

Then back chasing the complete set dragon in 1981 and enjoyed the dawn of the junk wax era. Limiting my PC to 1980 and older. No new stuff.

Completed sets: 1968-1987

Listing a lot of my 1960s and 70s dupes on my eBay page to fund my quest for 1954-67 set builds.

Trading: I try to propose or trade similar value cards, PWE if it works.

if conditions aren’t listed, assume my cards are VG, VGEX or EX.

Looking to obtain VG-EX cards for my sets, with no major creases, paper loss or marks on the front. O/C is fine.

I have tons of mid to late 70s cards I haven’t listed here so if you need them, let me know.

looking forward to doing some trades toward completing my sets!

Collecting Pirates 52-Present. Roberto Clemente. Bob Gibson. Willie Stargell. Tony Peña. Tim Raines. Carlos Gonzalez. Andrew McCutchen.

Happy to trade or sell anything on my For Sale/For Trade list. I will trade or sell any card or amount of cards.

For trades, I am generally unconcerned about condition. I want the cards for my personal collection. I'm also happy to trade vintage for junk wax or modern.

All cards from 1983 and earlier have conditions and prices. All cards from 1984 or later can be assumed NM or better unless otherwise noted.  I'll send pictures of any card. Just ask.

If you'd like to buy cards, you can get to my pricing from this page. Click Collection from the links below, then Cards from the top, then choose For Sale/For Trade from the dropdown menu. The numbers next to the cards are the prices I've set for anything older than 1984. For any cards from 1984 or later, the price is 50% of TCDB price for anything under $5. Ask me for anything over $5.

If purchasing cards, please add shipping as follows:

1-2 cards: $1.00 PWE

3-9 cards: $2.00 PWE

10+ cards OR over $25 in value: $5 BMWT

If you'd like BMWT regardless of value or quantity, just add $5.

I accept PayPal, Venmo and Apple Cash

I am slowly adding to my For Sale/For Trade list in chronological order. If you have a specific request from the 80s let me know. I probably have it too.

___________

BIO

Thank you for your interest in my profile! My name is Jack and I'm a hobbyist & collector in southern NJ. I live in the greater Atlantic City area and am a lifelong supporter of Philadelphia sports franchises. I stepped away from the hobby for almost 30 years until my oldest son reignited my interest in mid-2023.

___________

BASEBALL

My personal collection of sports cards & memorabilia is mainly baseball. Go Phillies! I'm a set-builder, through-and-through and I especially enjoy the chase of hunting the variety of parallels, refractors, and inserts in recent Topps and Bowman sets (i.e., from about 2020 onwards).

I'm just now starting to explore the vintage card space, as well, but am warming to it a lot more slowly, mainly due to my own ignorance. I'm considering making the 1953 Bowman Color set my White Whale; they're just so attractive to the eye. However, I'm working on the 1957 Topps set as a more accessible entry point into collecting sets from the era. Please feel free to offer up additional suggestions.

I'm less interested in junk wax, but don't hold me to that.

___________

NON-SPORTS

A lot of my recent collecting has been focused on all manner of non-sports trading cards. I'm especially interested in products featuring characters from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Star Trek: TNG, or anything tied to pop culture of past eras. I'm also really starting to enjoy historical sets. Finally, I'm a child of the '80s and '90s, so I have a soft spot for anything released from about 1975 to 2000, but I can also appreciate oldies, especially if it's film or television.

___________

TRADING PHILOSOPHY

  • Will consider trades of all shapes and sizes
  • Will also consider any purchase offers made in good faith
  • Will trade and ship to all 50 U.S. states, U.S. territories, U.S. military POs, and Canada with limited exceptions
  • Will consider other international trades if responsibility for payment of shipping costs is agreed upon in advance
  • Will ship via PWE with 'Non-machinable' label and sufficient First Class Mail postage by default, unless weight/size restrictions prevent doing so
  • Will happily send via other methods (e.g., with tracking enabled) upon request, especially for high-value items; prior agreement on this point must be established before either party sends out their leg of the trade, else the above, default method will take precedence
  • Love the site's PIF mentality; I try to keep trade proposals balanced and kindly ask my trading partners to do the same
  • Communication is the key — please accept/decline proposals in a timely manner, convey information about delays or returned packages, or just tell me that life is getting in the way and you need a few days

I am building vintage sets, 1957-1972, as an exercise in nostalgia. I am delighted with "well-loved" cards, just like the ones I would have had as a kid!

My profile picture is me with my favorite player Manny Sanguillen in the summer of 2023.

My Collecting History

My first pack of cards was in 1971.  My mom bought me the pack of cards from Bullman's Market in Mt. Chestnut, I remember that.  But I was only 5, so the collecting bug didn't take hold.  It wasn't until I was 11 in the summer of 1977 when I started collecting baseball cards.  I would buy all the 15 cent packs of baseball cards I could with my allowance money and the money I made from my paper route. Later that summer my grandmother had given me a bag full of hundreds of older baseball cards she had collected.  I didn't know many of the players names at the time, but thought they were cool.  Turns out they were mostly 1960 Topps baseball with a bunch of 1959 and 1961 Topps baseball.  In the summer of 1979 my father took me and my friends to a flea market in North Park, I think it was called Wildwood Flea Market.  It was the first time I saw a dealer that sold baseball cards.  I remember buying a Mint condition 1960 Yogi Berra for $5.00, I am sure there were others, but the Berra is the one I remember.  (I may add more to this in the future, but that is enough for now.)

What I Collect

Mostly vintage baseball.  Vintage being 1980 and before.  After 1980 just cards that I really like or have a special meaning to me.  My favorite sets are 1954, 1956 and 1960 Topps Baseball, also 1949 and 1953 Bowman Baseball.
