I trade cards to build baseball, hockey and some miscellaneous sports / non-sport sets. I also PC Felipe Alou, Derek Aucoin, Steve Begin, Jennifer Botterill, Kevin Dineen, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Bob Kudelski, Manon RheaumeGabriela Sabatini and P.J. Stock as well. I do not buy cards. I also have a sweet spot for oddball / food issue / regional sets. New cards are regularly added to my FT/S list and all the cards I list here are NRMT or EX unless specified and I expect the same of you.

I don't collect micro-variations (dots, stars, copyright marks, holograms, printing plate codes...), they're not fun to search and I dislike the incessant frequency with which new ones are added. Seriously, what's the point if you gotta need to use a magnifier glass to check out if there's a dot on the back of a 1991 Fleer? However, I do all my best to check all my cards and to keep my lists up to date, but please ask me first, if micro-variations matter to you. The site really needs some way of opting out of micro-variations (just a default / any var. / unverified option for each card).

Besides helping to complete our collections one step closer each time, the opportunity would be nice to have traded with all the states, provinces and territories of North America. On this site only, I traded with members in 46 states, D.C., 9 provinces, N.W.T. and overseas. I can't wait to have a trade in Alaska, Delaware, North Dakota, Wyoming, Manitoba, Nunavut and Yukon. However, if you don't live in the above jurisdictions, you're still more than welcome to trade with me. No trade to Russia, Belarus and Iran.

I'm an easy going, helpful and patient guy, but here's now my turn to announce that my NO TRADE LIST is growing due to an increased lack of civility on the forums and the full site. If (1) you nitpick and/or always have an opinion on anything and/or act like you own the site and you're not Admin or (2) you do not respond to counters or decline without expressing a reason or don't PM me to ask more time after several days of wait or (3) you send me ridiculous off-balanced offers or (4) you accept the trade and you can't mail your cards in a timely manner or you send me loose or severly damaged cards or (5) have a brand new (empty) account without info / feedback and ask for valuable cards or (6) you clearly didn't read my profile (ask first, at least) and ask me to buy your cards, then chances are that you just won a place on my NO TRADE LIST regardless of how much I may want what you have.

I am fine with shipping cards in single or multiple PWEs, if the cards are properly packaged. Also, I don't mind large or small transactions, but I currently prefer trades with 10 to 20 cards going each way or at least that the cards carry more value than the postage. I am working 12 hour shifts, but I always try to ship the same or the next business day. Just remember that Canada Post doesn't pick up or deliver on Saturday and Sunday.

International shipping is very easy, but it costs more for BOTH traders (not just from the U.S.). Here are some tips to save on shipping costs to Canada: use PWEs (Plain White Envelopes) and avoid bubble envelopes, plastic boxes and big stacks of cards. Ship as flat as you can (cut 9 pocket pages in 3 rows and insert 4-5 cards in each pocket). The more it looks like a greeting card or documents mailed in a regular letter instead of a package, the more it tends to be cheaper to ship. Current U.S. to Canada first class postage rate (up to 2 oz) is $1.40 and if non-machinable, $1.79. If you don't have Global Forever stamps handy, three regular Forever stamps work as well. There's also no need to pay $14.85 for shipping with international tracking, because it is just too expensive, it will be way slower to arrive and Canada Post won't track your postal item anyway. Overall, postal service tends to be slower in Canada and at times a bit harder to predict, but it is as reliable as in the U. S.. Lastly, no cross-border shipping by Fedex or UPS: they charge $40.00+ custom brokerage on each and every package they handle no matter if it is duty free or not.

A.S.

Hello: I joined this site in March 2021.

The trades that I have done have gone very smoothly. Shipping has usually been PWE (Plain White Envelope). I have made trades where the value of cards is less than the postage. Sometimes a person (trader) just needs that last card to complete a set, so I've learned to make trades were the Post Office gets the better end of the deal.

I still have cards that I need to upload onto this website. (2003 to 2019) hoping to get those cards loaded into the data base soon.

I'm a set builder:

If you are a buyer check out my "For Sale Only Cards". All the cards in this collection are for sale. I'm still organizing my cards to put in this collection.

The following complete sets are for sale:

1987 Topps

1987 Topps - Glossy All-Star

1988 Donruss - Stan Musial Puzzle

1989 Donruss - Warren Spahn Puzzle

1991 Ultra (Fleer)

1991 Ultra Team (Ultra Gold)

1991 Upper Deck - Baseball Heroes: Nolan Ryan

1991 Upper Deck - Team Logo Holograms

1992 Donruss - Rod Carew Puzzle

2007 Topps -All Stars

Down the road I'm looking to sell all my cards. At my age (70) it's about the that time to sell all my cards. Hopefully there are people on this site that buys cards.

Have a great day.

** Please Help **

I only need two cards for a set that is approaching 10,000: a 1998 Bryan Braves (non-perforated) Kerry Ligtenberg and a 2000 Nabisco Albertson's Astros Chris Truby.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm not currently selling anything, nor am I trading for anything other than the above cards.  I apologize, but there just isn't anything else I want/need.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I collect:

● One card of every major league player since August 28, 1977.

Each player’s first “regular” major league card, including inserts and regionals, starting with his debut year.

   1)       First priority for each card: A 3½-inch-long single-player card, licensed or otherwise permitted to use MLB logos, which correctly identifies the player by a name he was then using, shows him in color in a major league or neutral uniform, and does not identify him as playing in a minor or other league.  Does not include game/contest cards, schedule cards, stickers, stamps, cards focused partly on a team or mainly on a particular game or event, or cards issued more than a dozen years before or after before the years they represent in this collection.

  • Each card must be from player’s major league debut year (or 1977 for players active in late 1977), if any such cards in this category exist.
  • Otherwise, the card must be from the first possible year after the player’s major league debut year (or 1977 for players active in late 1977), if any such cards in this category exist.
  • Otherwise, the card must be from the last possible year before the player’s major league debut year (or 1977 for players active in late 1977), if any such cards in this category exist.

   2)       Next priority: a card matching the above criteria except that one of the following applies: it (a) focuses partly on other players or a team, or mainly on a particular game or event, or masquerades as a ticket; (b) identifies the player primarily as a draft pick or signee; (c) is oversized or undersized; (d) pictures the player entirely in monochrome or black-and-white; (e) for the primary identifying information of the player, misspells his name, uses an uncommon nickname or an uncommon variation of his name, and/or identifies him by a name other than what he used when he broke into the majors (or in late 1977 for players active at that time); (f) was issued more than a dozen years before or after the year it represents in this collection; (g) has a primary player photo that is clearly smaller than some other aspect of the front of the card; (h) identifies the player as a major leaguer, and is permitted to use MLB logos/team names, but also identifies the player as a member of a non-MLB team or league, or, in the card's main picture, appears, based on the totality of the card, to show the player in a Future's Game uniform or another non-MLB uniform; or (i) identifies the player as a major leaguer, but is not permitted to (and does not) use MLB logos/team names, and shows the player in a neutral or non-MLB uniform.  Year criteria is same as above.

   3)      Next priority: a card matching the above criteria except that it is (a) a game or contest card; (b) a schedule card; (c) a postcard; (d) a sticker or stamp; (e) a card that doesn't name the player or identifies him by a name that he never used; (f) a card that shows the player not in uniform; and/or (g) a card with more than one element from the previous bullet point.  Year criteria is same as above.

   4)      Next priority: a card matching the above criteria, except that it is not permitted to (and does) use team logos and/or team names. Year criteria is same as above.

   5)      A card issued in any year during or within a year after the player's professional or high-level amateur career that otherwise parallels #1 above, except that it identifies the player with a non-MLB professional or high-level amateur team, or doesn't identify the league/team but shows him in a non-MLB or neutral uniform.  Licensed if a license is required.

   6)      A card issued in any year during or within a year after the player's professional or high-level amateur career that otherwise parallels #2 above, except that it identifies the player with a non-MLB professional or high-level amateur team, or doesn't identify the league/team but shows him in a non-MLB or neutral uniform.  Licensed if a license is required.

   7)      A card issued in any year during or within a year after the player's professional or high-level amateur career that otherwise parallels #3 above, except that it identifies the player with a non-MLB professional or high-level amateur team, or doesn't identify the league/team but shows him in a non-MLB or neutral uniform.  Licensed if a license is required.

***    Other requirements for all cards:

  • Each card’s short side must be between 2 and 3½ inches, and long side between 2½ and 5½ inches, not counting any frames or holders.
  • No tickets or publicity photos.  No oversized photos/photocards made by or for teams, absent playing stats, written bio, and/or reverse advertising or postcard design.
  • Must be a flat, stand-alone item (or intended to be removed or cut out as a stand-alone item) made of cardboard, plastic, paper or a similar product.  Cutouts must be of at least thin cardboard stock and must be intended as cutouts.
  • No cards issued more than a year after the player’s professional, collegiate or national playing career, or otherwise as a retrospective.
  • No cards of a player who is in a multi-player photo, or one of multiple photos, unless he is identified on the card.
  • Based on the dates of the respective licensing programs, licenses not required for major league cards before 1967, minor league cards before 1987 or Japanese cards before 2000.
  • Major league cards without licenses must be part of or connected to a national (U.S. or Canada) widely distributed issue of the sort checklisted in a major hobby database.
  • Player must be pictured as the subject or one of up to nine subjects of the card and not misidentified as a different player.
  • No 1/1s or cards that don't appear to exist.

● One card of every player who had a WAR of 20 or better in games since 1947 and who retired before August 28, 1977.

No cards issued more than a year after the player’s professional playing career.  All cards Ex-Mint or better.  Any card size that is within the standard for the time.  Licensed if issued after 1966.

● One card of every other AL/NL player with a WAR of 20 or better in games since 1903.

Mixes originals and reprints.  Each card must:

  • Have been issued during or within a year after the player’s professional playing career;
  • Be a catalogued reprint of the above; or
  • Be a general likeness of a card that could have been issued during the player's career.

● One card of every Kansas City Royals player and manager.

Uses cards showing the player as a Royal or a minor league Royal wherever possible.

The vast majority of my collection comes from packs from the late 70's to the early 90's.  Always kept in a smoke free home.  The late 70's cards and early 80's were well handled and won't be fetching any PSA 10s.  Did a very good job after that keeping cards in binders/sleeves/top loaders so they are in better shape.

I started out as a set builder but then stepped away from the hobby for a while (mid 90s) due the pack prices being too expensive and there being way too many sets to build.  I came back for a while in late 90's with a mission to complete a lifetime Cubs Topps set.  This limited my scope to something I could realistically complete and I was a good portion of the way there already.  In January 2020, I saw a movie about a guy that decided his cards were worthless and burned them and somehow that sparked me to go the opposite way and try to complete that lifetime Cubs set.

My lifetime Topps Cubs set is now complete.  I consider all Cubs cards as premium cards as I am a lifelong fan. I try not to include a lot of my Cubs in trade proposals because while they are premium to me they may not be to you. I am currently looking for cards in this order:

  1. Current Topps Cubs cards to maintain my lifetime set
  2. Cubs Topps cards from before I was born
  3. non Topps Cubs that I don't currently own
  4. filling in blanks for my non Cub favorite players
  5. 2021 Topps yellow to complete that set

I am open to trade and have lots of duplicates that I am adding to my trade list and also have been trying to update my wantlist to fill in my blanks.  I am not really into graded cards, relics, autos, or limited cards and try to stick with base sets which are raw for my collection.  It makes more sense to me to trade on here rather than buy on ebay.  I like helping other collectors out with what they need and they can help me out in return.  I am partial to the collector that really enjoys the cards rather than a business entity that is trying to make a buck on them.

A great trade for me would be 18 commons in a PWE that I need (hopefully Cubs) for 18 commons in a PWE that you need.  I made a video detailiing my PWE trade process.  I also made a part 2 to that video in which I go over how to package and send a PWE.

I tend to consider site pricing when making an offer.  I know that it is not perfect but is theoretically imperfect the same on both sides.  I am open to a counter because I am guessing what cards you would want based on your wantlist and you actually know.

Please do not use scotch tape on the inside of any of the card packaging and use painters tape instead.  Scotch tape is a nightmare to get off plus mint cards and sticky residue are a bad combination.

Tips for proposing a trade with me

  • Cards are on my trade list because they are duplicates and not because I think they are junk and am trying to get rid of them on a fire sale
  • Staying within the era (modern for modern or vintage for vintage) is good since I save my vintage for other vintage that I need
  • Don't ask for inserts, stars, and hot rookies for commons in return
  • It is human nature to try to slant the transaction in your favor,  do your best to realize that and don't do it

My "wants" for my Cardinals collection is accurate from 1900 - 2008.  I still have about 12,000Plus Cardinals cards from 2009-present to sort through and enter.  Please do not offer any Cardinals cards from 2009-present unless you contact me first as there is a chance I already have it amongst the multitude to still go through.

I still have about 30K Cardinals duplicates that are not yet enterred in the database as FS/FT.

Hockey: St Louis Blues.

Football: St Louis Cardinals 1960-1987. St Louis Rams: 1995-2015.

I'm a set builder - Topps Regular from 1960 to present. I also sell my duplicates on eBay but would prefer to trade to fill out my want list. I prefer cards in excellent or greater condition (no creases, stains, rounded corners, etc.).

My goal is to obtain cards to build out my sets for the enjoyment of collecting and I plan to pass my collection to my son. I'm a Yankees fan living in Texas and long-time season ticket holder for the Round Rock Express, currently the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. I also occasionally enjoy attending Astro's games.

I like to be as responsive as possible in trading.  Cards for accepted trades will be mailed out within 1-2 business days. I always leave feedback and appreciate the same from trading partners.

Primarily set building. Baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and a little soccer. I love rookies, stars and the local (MN) players.

I am actively working on a 1969 Topps baseball set of ExMt or better quality. I'm about 90% complete. Vintage excites me the most, but I will be a little picky. I have some real good 1969 Topps baseball cards to offer in exchange.

I am also working on modern sets from 2001 to present. Generally, I trade commons for commons, inserts for inserts, and autos for autos.

If you have matches on my trade list, but nothing on my wantlist, please message me. I can likely find something I want in your trade list. I try to limit my wantlist to my active projects.

Buying and selling is in play, so feel free to offer.

I'm open to trade for any cards I don't have in my collection if there are cards on my for sale/trade list that you want. Just shoot me a message or offer and we can try and work something out.

If you are a variation collector in a trade, please let me know and I will verify the cards are the variations that you want.
