The Magic the Gathering Mystery Booster set consists of 1,694 cards that are reprints of various cards from the 9th Expansion set (Mirage) through the 82nd Expansion set (Throne of Eldraine). The reprints are distinguishable from the original cards by a small planeswalker symbol located in the lower left-hand corner of the card.
The cards were released in two editions. The Convention Edition was released beginning November 7, 2019 at Grand Prix events and conventions. The Retail Edition was released on March 13, 2020 at local Wizards Play Network stores.
Each edition shares the same 1,694 base set cards but each has their own unique 121 card insert set. The Convention Edition contains a 121 Play Test Card set and the Retail Edition contains a 121 card Foil set.
