First pack of cards I ever opened was as a kid, when this set came out...I was a recent convert to football fandom, and was still a kid without a favorite team; as I didn't want to adopt my dad's or mom's...(they liked the Cowboys and Giants, respectively, so I didn't want to take sides in that war). I remember being super excited to get a Heath Shuler rookie card, as he was supposed to be a huge deal...(that didn't happen)...the best card I got in that original open was probably Deion Sanders...I went on to love other sets more, but these will always have a special place in my heart.

An unusual set in that the team name is not on the card. The team logo is every so lightly imprinted on the back. Also unusual is that only the player's first name is on the back of the card. The statistics also are not associated with any specific team.
