Turn Trading Off
Follow these steps if you don't plan to use the site for trading with other members or if you need to temporarily put a hold on your trading activities and not receive any new trade offers.
Step 1
Go to your profile page.
Step 2
Click Edit Profile.
Step 3
Change the following settings:
- Add a note in the “Collects” field. For example, “Not currently accepting trades. Will continue next month.” This is optional but will let potential trading partners know when to check back in with you.
- Change the “Allow others to see your Wantlist?” option “No”. This will save any potential trading partner from seeing your wantlist and thinking that you’re actively trading.
- Change the “Allow others to see your For Sale/Trade list?” option “No”. This will save any potential trading partner from seeing your for sale/trade list and thinking that you’re actively trading.
- Set “Allow other members to match their Wantlist to your Collection?” to “No” if you had previously set it to “Yes”.
- Set “Allow other members to send you transaction proposals?” to “No”.
- Set “Receive alerts when items on your Wantlist or For Sale / Trade match other members' lists?” to “No”
Step 4
Click Update.
