To announce that Donruss-Playoff had received an MLB license, a red-bordered Diamond King promo card of Alex Rodriguez was issued. There are three versions of this card. An unmarked "base promo," and two that were given away to attendees of the 2001 Kit Young Hawaii Trade Conference. The Kit Young promo is the same card as the standard card but with "Hawaii 2001" in gold lettering on the card front. In addition, 100 autographed cards were given to random Kit Young Conference attendees. |
