Photo clearly shows the 1939 MLB patch on his sleeve, so he is in a Cubs uniform. But he left the Cubs in 1941 and the oldest this card can be is 1947, his first year in Cincinnati and his last as a full-time player. It seems silly to me to list his card as a Philadelphia A's card. He only played in 12 games for them in 2 months of the 1949 season. It should be a Cubs card because of the photo or a Reds card because it was probably printed in 1947 or 1948. |
