Available by mail order from the Gazette newspaper as a 12-part series of 20 cards each. Also issued in 30-card packs (8 different). Special Hall of Fame binders also available for order.

Manufactured by Quebec-based Cartophilium Inc. and sold as a 240-card factory set, the card fronts feature illustrations by Carlton McDiarmid and the backs feature very brief (one or two sentence) player bios. A larger postcard-sized version of the set was also available.

The set was re-issued in 1987 with 21 additional cards featuring players named to the Hall of Fame between 1983 and 1987. The card fronts were identical to the previous version but complete season-by-season statistics were added to the backs.
