In 1924-25, Holland Creameries produced a short, ten-card set of hockey cards. Cards were black and white with the words “Holland Hockey Competition” at the top. Below a player image was his name, position, and card number. Some of the cards had the player’s picture inside of a frameless rectangle while others were inside of an oval-shaped border.

Like some other food-related sets of the era, the ice cream manufacturer offered collectors a special redemption program. A complete set was good for a brick of ice cream or three Holland banquets if returned in person to the company at their factory at 740 Logan Avenue in Winnipeg.

As usual, there was a shortprinted card to help limit redemptions. In this set, it is card #9 Connie Neil.

In addition to this hockey card release, Holland Creameries also issued a 1925 set of baseball cards featuring the Washington Senators, which had won the World Series in 1924. That set is headlined by Walter Johnson and equally rare.
