The weird saga of Howie Young; Oakland traded for him from Detroit so card no. 82 (in the topps set) has him in Detroit uniform but on the Seals. Detroit left him unprotected and Chicago picked him up on waivers before the season started, so OPC updated his card to Chicago but used Marotte's body (card no. 14) explaining why he is numbered amongst the seals. Then, for some inexplicable reason, they gave him another card in series 2 which you would think would be an updated picture with his new team. But no, he is in the body of no. 16, Chico Maki, which does not look quite like card no. 17, but Young wore jersey no. 3 with Chicago so what the hell?
why is there 2 Howie Young cards in this set? #82 and #151??
#31....Frank Mahovlich. Was there ever a worse job done on attaching a head to someone else's body? Frankenstein would have been proud!!
