Random Card of the Day |
Sunday, June 26, 2022Set: 2012 Topps Allen & Ginter - Mini (Rate) “ A&G is a cool set baseball wise, but I was never a fan of those dumb inserts that have nothing to do with baseball. ” -jdogg1228
2
“ A&G mini. I still like these cards but since modern A&G has been going on for 16 years and the minis are a parallel not just a small insert set I grew tired of them a few years back and don't desire them as much as I once did. ” -captkirk42

“ Don't like minis ” -pugchump

Saturday, June 25, 2022Set: 1994-95 Classic - Tri-Cards (Rate) Card: #T25 / T26 / T27 Jason Podollan / Ed Jovanovski / Chris Armstrong “ I hadn't seen this insert yet, I didn't know they did these in hockey too. I don't care for this style of card although the design itself is fine. ” -Billy Kingsley
2
“ Has a cool look to it. ” -muskie027

“ Nice looking multi-player card. I was going to ask if we ever had multiplayer cards as the RCotD but then I remembered of course there have to have been for some of the vintage team Rookies cards and the 1970s 4 Position Rookies cards. It was the trio thing that was throwing me off and made me think multi-player. The classic 2 player Team Rookie cards or League Leaders type cards for some reason I don't consider "multi" player since it is just a pair or a Duo. ” -captkirk42

“ How many people here cut these types of cards? ” -TwinKiller
“ This is a nice card. Classic did issue some nice sets. ” -Brendan Barrick
“ Why is the text on the back not about the players pictured? Except for the third guy? ” -pugchump

Friday, June 24, 2022Set: 1984 Topps Traded - Limited Edition (Tiffany) (Rate) “ Back is fantastic! It has nearly everything you'd ever want to see on a card back. The front is a decent design but Topps had better designs in the years before this and a few afterwards. I still like that it has an action photo, a headshot, name, team and position though. BTW, "Tiffany" cards are super-glossy versions of the regular Topps cards. Just had to add that info since it is a common question from everyone that was not collecting cards in the 1980's. The backs were also obviously-whiter cardboard than other Topps products. ” -spazmatastic

“ I like this card design. Basic. ” -freakizon
3
“ Highly underrated. Lifetime .303 hitter, 2700+ hits, 7 time all-star. Lasted only one year on the HOF ballot - not that I am saying he deserved to be a HOFer, but definitely deserved more love than one and done. ” -Tscastle
10
“ Nice 1980s card. Interesting how they had to number it as Topps Traded cards were usually numbered "T#" where as this is "#*T" because it is Tiffany. ” -captkirk42
“ I sure remember these cards and again Topps had the ugliest card of the year behind Donruss & Fleer. These cards today probably aren't worth the money it took to print them.
I haven't seen or heard of Al Oliver in years. I liked him and always thought he was a really good player! ” -tinyshogun
2
“ 1982 batting champion. Classic card design. ” -pugchump
“ Known for his best work as "TC", the strong arm Helicopter pilot sidekick of Thomas Magnum in the hit 80's series Magnum PI. ” -parsley24

1
“ Good action shot. Minor league cards have come a long way since the 70's portraits they did. And also the stats are pretty good. ” -Bassbunny22
“ Odd photo that makes him looks like a pitching dwarf. He's actually 5'11" but looks like he is 3'11". I apologize to all dwarves out there if I offended. ” -hiflew

“ Good looking minor league card. Great spot for a signature on the front. ” -pjdionne12
