Set: 2006 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects - Chrome Draft Picks Gold Refractors (Rate)

Card: #DP79 Brad Furnish

“ The pose makes this card look like a Little League card. ” -Musclebeech
  8
“ Don't know the player but a cool design either way ” -pugchump
  3
“ Spends +$100 on a hobby box.... Gets this card as the hit. ” -parsley24
  18
“ OK looking card. Not a fan of chrome cards partly for this weird way they scan as seen here. Also am very much against the way Bowman draft cards are numbered it confuses me every time. Even when I figure out how the number and letter combinations for card numbers works out, when I have a card to identify it still takes a long time to find it an any checklist. ” -captkirk42
  3
“ Refractors are another of the new-fangled things introduced to new collectors . . . Truth is, I can't stand them . . . They remind me of the Kellogg's 3-D ards from the 70s . . . Great in theory, horrible in practice . . . ” -georgecf
  2
“ Lifetime minor leaguer, just like 95% of players in these sets. ” -NickyCollects
  3
“ Nice card. Good scan. ” -cjjt

Set: 2005 Topps Pristine Legends (Rate)

Card: #37 Tom Seaver

“ I saw his statue at Citi Field recently; one of the best pitchers ever. Cool card design too. ” -pugchump
  5
“ The GOAT! Damn this man could pitch. I was quite sad when he passed away!! ” -tinyshogun
  6
“ That's a pretty decent card. ” -BigDaddy
  6
“ I love Tom Seaver, but his Reds years were NOT "the legendary years" this card speaks of. ” -hiflew
  1
“ Nice Chrome looking card. It has the pennant element of the 1965 design, back reminds me of one of the late 1960s Football designs. Odd seeing Seaver as a Red I think of him mostly as a Met. ” -captkirk42
  1
“ At first glance I always think it's one of those sets that Upper Deck made imitating Topps vintage but no, its better than that. (Excluding the green on the back.) ” -TwinKiller
  1
“ I like this card and Tom Seaver was a great pitcher. What bugs me is the overabundance of cards for retired players. I spoke about this recently on a Pedro Martinez card but this is something I just looked at. Tom Seaver had approximately 550 cards up until the 1987 sets which marked his retirement. Since his retirement there have been over 5,400 cards made of him. 2005, the year of this card, according to this website 967 cards were made of him. They made more than 400 more cards that year, then he had during the entirety of his playing career. ” -davidhandberry

“ I really like Match Attax but when I pull a Manchester United player I know it will more than likely end up on COMC. ” -Gunny
  2
“ Hopefully someone will be excited to see this. Did not realize they tackled in futbol! He's got some work to do to get that 50 up. ” -UKboogie

“ Wow that is one busy Soccer game card. I wouldn't know what to do with it. ” -captkirk42
  1
“ I still don't get the appeal of soccer. Such long games for someone to win 1-0. ” -tinyshogun

  1
“ 👎 ” -Ksh23kj

Set: 2012 Hero Decks Texas Rangers Baseball Heroes Playing Cards (Rate)

Card: #K♥ Rafael Palmeiro

“ Poor judgment? Yes. Was he pretty dumb to get caught after the public hearings? Yes. Baseball Hall of Famer? YES! ” -hiflew
  3
“ I have the Red Sox set for these ” -pugchump

“ “I am the King!” ” -Musclebeech

“ King of the Finger Point! ” -domentho
  1
“ It has been a few months since we have seen one of these for the random card o the day. I am mixed about these. To me they are commemorate playing cards with a baseball theme (there are other sports themes as well as entertainment) I don't like how the backs are not too identifiable to their team/theme. The sort of are, but sort of not. Some of the other sets are more disassociated from their team/theme. ” -captkirk42

Set: 1987 Hygrade All-Time Greats (Rate)

Card: #NNO Sam Crawford

“ Woah, I barely recognize his name, and to hear he could have rivaled Babe Ruth is crazy. I kind of like the card especially the old photo on the front! ” -Athletics37
  1
“ WHAAA-HOOO! ” -stevejrogers
  5
“ Crawford has one of the "unbreakable" records that almost never gets mentioned. Most career triples with 308. No one has even gotten HALFWAY there since Roberto Clemente. Current active leader is Dexter Fowler at 82. ” -hiflew
  7
“ "Wahoo Sam". Love the nickname. I like the set this card came out of! ” -tinyshogun

“ Two unlicensed cards in a row? Or am I missing something? ” -pugchump
  1

“ Boring set overproduced. ” -Ymmat

Set: 1993 Sentry Milwaukee Brewers (Rate)

Card: #7 Robin Yount

“ Nice action shot on the front. However, the back of the card is a bit plain. At least the photo on the front was not also used on the back, which will appease most here. ” -SteelYourFace
  5
“ The photo on the front is so clean and sleek with such great action shot of Yount. His name and position are large and clear with a nice logo. Honestly a really nice card all around! ” -Athletics37
  2
“ Not a bad looking card. Classic Yount pose. ” -Ymmat
  3
“ This guy was the GOAT for a few years. Nice card, great graphics for 1993. ” -tinyshogun
  1
“ I like all the information packed onto the back of the card. Should have included a picture of him riding his motorcycle (oops, he wasn't supposed to be doing that). ” -hamrlik22
  1
“ Very nice looking, especially for an oddball team set issue. Usually those are really generic and boring. ” -hiflew
  1
“ Nice photography on the front. A blank card back tells me they were on a tight printing budget, so the backs stayed blank. ” -Musclebeech

“ Nice looking team "card" (photos?) ” -captkirk42

“ 20 year career on one team! Hall of Famer! They don't make like that anymore. ” -jayoneill
  2
“ Nice looking card. Good photo. HOF player. Does anybody know the dimensions of this set? They aren't listed on the set page, but it looks wide and makes me think it's is oversized. Which is fine with me. Just wondered. ” -switzr1

“ Unlicensed? Needs something on the back either way. ” -pugchump
  1
“ This has a really great looking front. Wish there was a back. Great player too! ” -muskie027

“ Nice action shot on the front. However, the back of the card is a bit plain. At least the photo on the front was not also used on the back, which will appease most here. ” -SteelYourFace

Card: #38 Gaylord Perry

“ Kind of a lame card design ” -pugchump
  3
“ This dude was a stud! Straight up stud!! ” -tinyshogun
  2
“ Ah yes, the infamous food issue designs of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and early 90s. ” -NickyCollects
  6
“ I love it. The design is a perfect combination of Kellogg's and Meadow Gold. 2 of the 3 best food issues of all time. Now if only we could work Hostess in there somehow. ” -hiflew
  2
“ Love the early 1970s Kellogg's cards. For some reason I never got too many of the '73s though. Odd 1973 was a year I got very few cards. Starting around 1970 I would get cards, I had gotten a huge amount of cards in '72 and again in '74 and '75 but for some reason '73 was a low buying year for me. I wonder why? ” -captkirk42
  2
“ I absolutely LOVE these cards. It’s really disappointing that so many of them have developed cracks as they’ve aged. ” -Musclebeech
  5
“ Gaylord. ” -freakizon

Set: 2006 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Update (Rate)

Card: #14 Jason Varitek

“ Nice looking card. ” -BigDaddy
  3
“ The name being sideways is w i e r d. ” -parsley24
  3
“ I hate cards like this with the name and the photo oriented differently. They don't look right either horizontally or vertically. This one is particularly bad because that photo could have easily been cropped differently and not lost anything of significance. ” -hiflew
  5
“ OK design, just don't like how they handled these landscaped oriented cards. ” -captkirk42

“ This reminds me of a picture of my daughter that I'd post on FB and her hitting coach would pick it apart at her next lesson. "Where are your eyes? Look at that front foot... why is the barrel a foot below your hands?" ” -jackal726

“ Nice photo, but I've always found it annoying when the orientation of the front and back of a card are different. They probably could have rotated this photo and made everything vertical. ” -Musclebeech
  1
“ One of my favorite players of all time. Cool card design too. ” -pugchump
  1
“ other than being horizonal, there is nothing i dislike about this card design ” -Thunderfoot
