But to answer your question, yes. It is to honor the Puget Sound and the great music to come out of the Seattle area.

As far as I'm concerned, Hartford can take the Hurricanes back or some other city can have them. If they can't sell enough seats to get their own arena after 20 years, they should move on to somewhere else that can. They've been sharing PNC Arena with NC State University since 1999. NCSU uses it a lot more than the Hurricanes do anyway.

And probably has better attendance too. The Panthers should probably move too.

I hope you are talking about the Florida Panthers and not the Carolina Panthers.

Of course, haha. Carolina is fine where they are.

I have to laugh because I didn't want to call out teams in my last post when I said teams should relocate. The three I had in mind were the Hurricanes, Panthers, and Coyotes. Looks like others are thinking the same.

The 2 good things to come out of Arizona are Shane Doan and Auston Matthews.

I was going to have a problem with you if you meant the Carolina Panthers. That's the best sports team we've ever had in NC (outside of NCAA basketball). They have sold every ticket for almost every game (if not all games) they've ever had in Charlotte and they just did a huge renovation last summer to make the stadium more handicapped-accessible, faster entry-access for everyone and a bunch of other upgrades. They even added elevators and escalators to get to the higher-level seats. I really need to get back down there for a game. I'd love to see how it's changed in the past decade since I went to a game there. The tickets are just SO expensive, especially since I can just sit on my couch and watch the game on a local TV station for free. PLUS, it doesn't take 2 hours to drive there and another 2+ to get back home; it doesn't cost me $8 per cup of beer or $4 for a soda or water; and finally, I won't spend another $50-100 in the Team Store. I already own enough Panthers stuff to wear or display my fandom or loyalty (hats, coats, t-shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts, long-sleeve t-shirts, figures, stickers, cards, cups, mugs, shot glasses, etc.). But I'm sure I'd find somehing I just HAVE to own if I walk in the team store there.
As for the Florida Panthers, yeah, I agree they should go somewhere MUCH farther north. The TB Lightning seem to do well and I think they cover FL pretty good. The Panthers never get mentioned. Even when the Hurricanes play the Panthers, there is no coverage here and it doesn't matter if they play in FL or NC. Basically, the score is the only thing mentioned and with no highlights. Then again, our local TV stations only cover baseball if it's the Atlanta Braves and sometimes the Washington Nationals. They also only talk about the Hornets in NBA (mostly). If it is football or NASCAR, everything is covered by the local stations!

Spaz, you gotta get to that team store and buy a $100 Panthers Jello mold!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
