I know this doesn't mean much to anyone but me but I'm happy to announce I have passed the 10,000 card mark in my Royals collection. I have been entering the cards off and on for what seems to be 2 years. I think I decided it was time to start when I discovered I had purchased a team set of the 2013 Pro Debut for the third time. The next goal, besides reaching a 11,111 card mark, is putting all the thousands of cards I'm missing into a want list.
Here's to card collecting!

Congrats on hitting the 10K mark. That's a lot of cards for one team.

Congratulations!
I actually always like to hear about people reaching collecting goals and milestones. My family and friends having varying degrees of tolerance or admiration for my collection. Sharing that sort of stuff with them just isn't that satisfying. Sharing here feels better because other collectors are happy for you. So, well done!
(Still, I refrained from sharing here the fact that a 1911 T206 card arrived in my mailbox Friday, and the 2016 Topps set arrived Monday, the 105 year spread clearly being the widest in acquisitions so close together. Yeah, probably a good idea for me not to share that....)

My wife would say you were nearly as crazy as I am. I have 30,368 Hut Stricklin cards at present, with more in the mail.

Congrats on the Royals. Based on site totals, you only have 51,375 to go!!! Which means you are already 19% complete. Very impressive!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Wow - after what Switzr1 posted, it is actually even more impressive. I wonder where I stand with my Phillies collection. (I haven't entered ANY of it in - I only have logged in my complete sets (or sets I'm working on.) Congrats kcjays. That is impressive and it does mean something to the fellow collectors here!

I'm sitting on only 1519 different Royals cards--unless you're counting the KC Athletics too (I do), which gives me another 208 cards. Not to mention the Kansas City Packers of the Federal League (1914-1915) and the Kansas City Blues of the American Association (1880's) reprints in my collection. I guess that still puts me under 1750 cards. 10,000 different Royals cards is a lot.
But I do have every Topps Base+Traded/Update Royals card ever made though (1969-2016), since that all I collect.
