Just curious about release date. I guess that is an official date? The 2017s are in the store at the end of January. So for what it's worth, kind of meaningless?

Topps are supposed to be released tomorrow (2/1). Are they in stores already? They usually hit my local Walmart first, but historically it has not been until Saturday after the Wednesday release day when the store finally puts them on the shelves. My local shop has them, but individual packs are too over priced there.

I happened to be in Target today and they were on the shelf. Not sure if they were they before today. Then I checked the TCDB checklist for topps 2017 and saw that 5% have already been entered.

Those scans, some of them anyways, seem to be taken from the sell sheets (cropped the cards out, resize and then posted). The Topps logo is in silver and isn't foil based. Plus the Corey Seager is wrong, as it's the Father's Day parallel. Some of the scans are already wrong.

I'm not impressed at all that people cropped cards out of the sell sheets to add them as 'scans'. If you don't have the card, please don't add a scan! I can understand it it is possibly an Inception card or something extremely rare, but not the flagship set of Topps cards. There's no reason to beat someone to the punch by adding something that might be incorrect when the cards actually show.
I checked my local Walmart tonight and nothing. I'll have to try Target tomorrow.

Also, I am having a little trouble scanning these. They do not lay perfectly flat and are cupped in the middle and have tendency to move on the scanner. Took several tries to get right the ones I did scan.

May I recommend PhotoScape for your small rotation needs?

February 1 (today) is the official hobby release date. The local card shops can actually get in a lot of trouble if they sell anything prior to today. Typically for Series 1, retail is available a few days before the hobby release. Series 2 and Update are typically a few days after the hobby release.
